A great authentic Thai in the heart of Earlsfield. The flavours are authentic and packed with strong taste. The seafood noodles were well balanced in heat and flavourful and the green curry has a nice creamy sweet flavour to compliment the rest of the meal. The spicy salad was authentically Thai level spicy and not the watered down version you get at most Thai places in London. The egg omelette was fluffy and tasty and had a good rich flavour. The service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was typically colourful in the Thai restaurant kinda way.

I had an amazing New Year’s Eve dinner here. Food was fantastic and as authentic as possible. I’m Asian and I have been to Thailand and hands down it’s truly Thai. Customer service was also amazing. But do remember to make reservations as this place is always crowded.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Phakoon in Earlsfield. I booked it to celebrate my mother’s 74th birthday with my siblings, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. From the moment we arrived, the service was genuinely friendly, attentive, and made the occasion feel special.
The food was outstanding. For starters, the crab cakes were perfectly balanced and full of flavour, the soft-shell crab was cooked beautifully, and the calamari was light, tender, and honestly amazing. Every dish felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
The mains were just as impressive — beautifully presented, rich in flavour, and clearly made with care. You could really tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.
Overall, a fantastic meal, great atmosphere, and excellent service. We all left happy, full, and already talking about when we’ll come back. Highly recommended for both special occasions and a proper treat meal.

We chose this restaurant as a place to meet after a month long trip to Thailand. our group wanted to reminisce about our trip and enjoy some authentic food. This place was perfect! Reasonable prices, lovely decor and tasty food. I drove over an hour to gey there and would do again. We arrived at 5pm on a Friday evening when it was quiet but by 9pm it was very busy. I can see why this is popular. Great service and lovely food. we will be back! Also mango sticky rice was 10/10.

Finally, a place that gets “hot” and “spicy” right. I specifically asked for spicy spicy and not British spicy (no offence intended here) for my takeaway order and they delivered beautifully. This place is run by a warm, friendly family. Good service, good food! I had the curry with rice and absolutely loved it! The other flavours aren’t buried underneath all the heat from the chilies. Well balanced, would definitely recommend this place. The ambience looks good so hope to dine at the restaurant some day 🙂

Such a wonderful evening at Phakoon Thai Kitchen- some of the most authentic Thai food I’ve had – so flavourful and delicious. Would highly recommend the prawn donuts, Drunken Noodles, sea bass with ginger, and Weaping Tiger steak- everything was so well balanced and not overly salty. Would recommend any day!!

Food was delicious and came out very fast. Although the food had great flavour there wasn’t all that much to it (I had the chicken massaman curry). Portions were quite decent as I was quite full after the rice and curry. I think it would have been better to make a reservation as they turned down a couple people with no reservations despite the restaurant being semi empty (there were definitely quite a few tables available). We got given a table on the basis we vacated within an hour and a half which was plenty of time. Overall, staff were nice, food was good and came out quite fast and pricing was decent as well.

A wonderful Thai restaurant with authentic Thai tea. I am so glad I took the plunge and visited this restaurant I should have known why it was always busy. I came here with one of my friends on a friend dinner date and I would highly recommend. We ordered the vegetarian starter platter and it was a good mix of foods for us to try. We then both got the pad Thai, I had chicken and she had tofu. The chicken does also come with tofu however I will say the tofu came with additional vegetables which I was envious of after trying the vegetable tempura which was 10/10. We then both had mango desserts and the only thing I found weird was my sticky rice was warm when it came out which I had never had before it was still delicious just means it was fresh. The mango was amazingly sweet which was also true for the mango sorbet/icecream. I will be visiting here again.

After a long hiatus from Thai restaurants, Phakoon Thai has completely rekindled my love for the cuisine. What a fantastic evening! Every dish we sampled boasted its own distinct and memorable flavor profile, a refreshing change from many unpleasant Thai restaurants out there.
The Crispy Golden Bags were a highlight—perfectly prepared and delightfully grease-free. The Chicken Satay was equally impressive, offering a wonderful smoky curry flavor and incredibly tender chicken.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the steamed sea bass fillet with ginger and the tamarind Silken tofu, both exceeding our initial expectations with their delicate yet impactful tastes.
Beyond the exquisite food, the overall experience was truly exceptional. The service was natural and perfectly attentive, never feeling intrusive. It was clear the staff were genuinely happy and eager to please, which added significantly to the welcoming atmosphere.
As a gluten-intolerant diner, I particularly appreciated Phakoon Thai’s excellent accommodation. It’s a huge relief to find a restaurant that caters so thoughtfully to dietary needs without compromising on flavor or experience.
