My husband and I make Rocket Breakfast part of our regular rotation. We usually hit it up on a Saturday or Sunday morning, early, when The Heist is nice and quiet. The folks in the food cart are always SO nice. The food is always incredibly fresh and oh so tasty. We have loved everything we’ve gotten: Rocket Sando, Munchwrap (just ask for a box when you get it…it’s huge and you’ll take half home), the french toast roll-ups, and whatever special they have going on with whatever Cookie McCookieFace makes for them. Just this past weekend I asked if I could get the garden aioli instead of the chipotle aioli on the Muchwrap and they were totally cool with it. It was an excellent substitution if you’re wondering! I love that the food is super fresh without being loaded with salt. I mean, I like salt but my body doesn’t, so I’m glad they aren’t over-seasoning their food! While you’re their getting breakfast from them, go inside and order coffee from Caffeine Withdrawal while you wait. It’s the perfect combo and timing for your meal!

Wife ordered their Valentine’s Day special, and they forgot to put the lemon curd on the pancakes. Kind of expensive. Other than that, it was good. I ordered their smash Brown breakfast sandwich. You’d think, for $10.50, it would have came with real sausage. This sausage patty was plain, it made McDonald’s sausage taste delicious. And $10.50 I thought it would be amazing, but overall, it was just fair, a little less so actually because of the sausage. The person that worked, there was nice ensuring we got utensils and napkins.

Went expecting a brunch house, got a food truck. The menu was unique and had some pretty good variety, and the service was friendly and responsive. They had the right ideas, but the execution was a bit lacking. The lemon ricotta pancakes were scrumptious, but the portion was tiny. The stuffed French toast was pretty great, but also, very small. The breakfast burrito/wrap was actually a pretty substantial size, but the flavors were muted and the meat was sparse. The biggest problem was that the prices did not reflect the smaller portions. Overall a B- grade. I might go back but just for those lemony pancakes.

Rocket Breakfast is definitely one of the best spots in Portland for a great breakfast. The lemon ricotta pancakes are my long time fav, but I tried the Rocket Sando for the first time today… YUM – the smash browns are so good! The service is fast and friendly. Thank you for another great meal!

Great food cart for sweet breakfast items. I love their bacon rolls and the pancakes that I’ve tried. My girlfriend and I feel like they definitely under season most of their savory dishes. At least in all of the wraps and sandwiches I’ve tried. I also had a quesadilla once that had the same issue. I don’t know if they are super health oriented so they don’t salt and seasonings for those reasons. I feel like the beans, eggs, and potatoes could all use a dash more salt (and I’m not even a huge sodium guy). I also feel like if they are making their beans they can definitely throw some onions and peppers in when cooking them. If they just using them straight from the can, there are beans that come seasoned.

Pretty solid [sausage] breakfast burrito. Or, “wrap” as they call it
The sauce isn’t all that spicy, but has nice flavor. Has all the fixings—peppers, onion, tomatoes, potato hashbrown & eggs. When there’s a line, the wait gets a bit longer. Easy to park for carts at light behind the complex.

The food took long time to be ready considering. However it was very good. I really want to try the lemon ricotta pancakes and the Nutella ones but this time we just did plain. Next time for sure. The strawberry sauce was very good.

The lemon ricotta pancakes are Bomb! The breakfast quesadilla and burritos are huge and so tasty.

I should’ve gone with the breakfast wrap. I got the combo #2 and I wasn’t disappointed but it wasn’t the greatest thing ever. It was still very good though! I am full and I tipped the staff! They were very nice, and happy to recommend what to get. I wanted a variety platter to try everything essentially but the combo #2 was the best fit. The open faced sandwich was good. In other reviews it seemed like it got half good and have bad reviews. The French toast sticks were the ham egg and scallion, Nutella strawberry and bacon. Those were good too! Although yhe portions seemed smaller compared to what I payed, I am full. I would come here again to try the breakfast wrap though!! Also, GREAT location. Did I mention the very kind staff? Thank you guys! Looking forward to bumping this up to 5 stars one day.

I normally wait a while for the food to settle before writing my thoughts but no need. The ham breakfast wraps we got were completely flavorless. (We got 3 and all were the same) Maybe 2 suggestions to give it some taste is adding a few seasonings and cooking the onions. The Nutella pancakes were ok. I expected them to be moist with the Nutella but they were actually dry and the Boston cream didn’t help much or take it to the next level. In the one I requested the without pico it still had pico, flavorless pico, plain hash browns. Absolutely no flavor. Fact is food is flavorless with or without modifications.

We decided to try something new and this is what came up near to us at the time. My wife had the breakfast burrito and I had the new lemon tart cream cheese filled French toast roll. The rolls were amazing, I mean AMAZING. Her burrito was very good too. This was our first time there and will definitely come back to eat there again. Thank you Rocket Breakfast.
