What can I say???? Simply put “Amazing Yummy”!!! I came with my husband for the first time and we left super impressed. While the restaurant is small it is absolutely devine! The food is so good. We had the Mozzarella and Shrimp for appetizers both really good. The best part and what I always look for is freshness and food that is seasoned and this Chef delivered. My husband’s steak was delicious as well- it is not often that my husband says “uhmm so delicious “ when eating. He cooks and tends to be very hard to please, therefore; compliments to che chef!!!
We had been looking for our next regular place since moving to town and we just found it. We will be back very soon.
Our waiters were so nice and polite and knew the menu.

Seems to be getting better each time I go. Food was spot on today. Risotto was perfectly flavored. Wife loved her crab cake. Red snapper was fresh and well seasoned. Pork ribs fell off the bone and just the right amount of BBQ sauce. We’ll done!

Very quaint cafe which features American cuisine with emphasis on presentation and finely tuned pairings. Some specials in addition to menu. Service was top notch even when fully packed. Tables are stacked near each other but noise level still okay to have a conversation. BYOB is great (Super Cellars across the street) and it looks like you could host a large dinner party with some advance prep. Parking is metered and some neighborhood lots.

Cafe 37 is a New American restaurant with a Spanish Flair. The restaurant is small inside, but they have a larger outside dining area. The owner is the chef, and those are usually the best restaurants to dine at. All the ingredients the chef uses are top notch. Portions are nice sizes too besides the desserts being rather small. Stand out and must try dishes are the goat cheese raviolis, truffle risotto, and the halibut over saffron rice. All those dishes were AMAZING! You must try them! Halibut is a hard fish to prepare, and when a chef can cook an outstanding halibut you know it’s a 5 star restaurant! Other dishes I tried was the crab cake which was excellent! The filet mignon with shrimp was very good! The chicken dish was good! Only one entree I didn’t care for or wouldn’t recommend ordering is the Cafe 37 Frutti di Mare. The pasta wasn’t fresh made and kinda mushy and flavor wise it just was ok. I’d take it off the menu and replace it with something else. It didn’t have the WOW factor as all the other dishes on the menu had. All the desserts are house made and my favorite is the bread pudding! It’s fantastic! That’s another dish that’s hard to get right, but the chef here made it to perfection! The only complaint is it’s much too small. Its should be served twice the current serving size. The other dessert I tried were the coconut profiteroles. I didn’t care much for it, and I wouldn’t order it again. I really enjoyed almost everything here, and I am very impressed with the food! The chef/owner is warm and welcoming too! I highly recommend dining at Cafe 37 in Ridgewood!

Food was good, but I would not recommend the paella. The price was $72, which is generally the cost of paella, but it barely included a cup of rice. Additionally there wasn’t a lot of seafood so the price to value just wasn’t there. However, when I addressed that, they did give us another cup of rice which was nice.

The restaurant is nice but small and it is popular, so their time management doesn’t work very well a specially for a bigger group of people. We had to wait for 30 min. But the food was good, solid 4 star on everything. Special dishes are nice just pay attention to the price.

This is a great fine dining restaurant in the heart of Ridgewood. I tried the 4-course fixed price menu which was a great price. I got the mussels, salad, ahi tuna, and bread pudding. Each course was flavorful and cooked well, and the portion sizes were perfect – big enough that I was full but small enough that I could eat all 4 dishes. The space is small and I would recommend getting a reservation beforehand

Very special dining in Ridgewood! So special that at 38 weeks pregnant my wife and I came for a *last date* and next day gave birth to our beautiful little girl. Thank you all for such amazing experiences time and time again at the fantastic restaurant. We will most definitely be coming back here!
