Casual pizza place serving wood-fired, Neapolitan-style pies topped with local ingredients.

Who pulls this out of an oven & thinks it’s ok to serve? The pizza is usually pretty good for bay area standards, but, coming from Trenton, this is terrible. The elements are there to make this a true tomato pie, but the tomato paste sauce was too sweet & the crust was indistinguishable from the remnants of the oven. The other two pizzas we ordered were pretty good, but what got me was the dough in the TKO was thick & raw in the middle while this thing was sent to hell.

Not usually a huge fan of vegan pizza, Viet and the rest of the folks there crush it with excellent toppings, some great crust, and an overall selection of pizzas that are just unbeatable. Add to that they are just all around good folks and any time I’m in Oakland and they are open, I’ll stop in

I’m in town for business and staying at a hotel around the corner. Thank you Yelp for helping me find this place. I had the TNT pizza, and they warned me about the Thai peppers when I ordered it. One Thai pepper was placed on each of the four slices. I ate the yellow one, and it was crazy hot as advised. The pizza was delicious. This place had as many vegan options as they had non-vegan options. Service was quick and everyone was friendly.

Had been wanting to go here for a while and finally made it. It’s located downtown, in kind of a dead area. They are pretty much only doing takeout (they have 2 cafe style tables that can seat 1-2 each). Which is kind of a bummer bc their thin crust pizzas are best eaten straight out of the oven. They lose a lot when they get cold…. My friend and I ordered the margherita and the spinach. Was not blown away by the sauce on the margherita..but really like the spinach pizza! Would go back for that one. Besides those two all of their pizzas have meat but they do have faux meat alternatives plus vegan cheese if you need a truly vegan pie.

First time trying the pizza. We ordered two pizzas, a vegan margarita pizza (pictured) and one with lots of meat for my husband called David Mack.
We ordered our pizza for pick up, which is probably a good thing as there is no inside dining and only two small tables outside, not a problem, just something to be aware of.
The attendant at the walk up counter was friendly and the team preparing the pizzas seemed to be happy.
Vegan food can be hit or miss but I found the pizza did not disappoint. The sauce had good flavor and the cheese had the texture of authentic cheese.
My husband felt his pizza was small compared to the price but also said it had really good flavor.
Two thumbs up from us. We would be happy to order pizza from them again.

Soon as I got it, the pizza smelled amazing! I got the vegan margherita and with the butcher’s son cheese it was the closest to a regular dairy pizza I’ve had in a while. I would say that it was a bit heavier than other vegan pizzas I’ve had but great nonetheless, especially for those missing the taste of dairy. Staff was also friendly

Hole in the wall pizza joint with limited days & hours and very limited space downstairs and up above in what I would call a converted “attic storage space”. Take Out seems like it would be a popular option.
Expensive 12″ pizzas, very limited extra veggie toppings (4 @ $2 each!)
We had the Arugula salad, Vegan Supremo, David Mack (with a few olives and barely noticeable red onion added), 1 beer and 1 sparkling water =$60!

I am a New Yorker and very picky about pizza and this is my favorite pizza I have had in the Bay Area. Period. Thank god. I think I can stay now. I gave up on bagels a long time ago!

I had a regular Margherita pizza. I believe that’s the best way to truly know if the pizza is good. The crust was thin, but not too crispy. It’s perfect, perfectly chewy. I ate every scrap of the pie. Other pizzas I’ve had in the bay area have been way too crispy to the point of scratching the roof of my mouth. This was divine. The cheese was perfect. The four individual leaves of basil. All were perfect and moderate just like a Neapolitan style pizza should be. It was fast, and delightful to sit outside solo and enjoy the banter and fun atmosphere in the kitchen second hand.

This pizza is the best California pizza I have ever eaten in thirty years in CA. The violife cheeses are incredible and the basil and arugula and sauce and crust are all fresh. I was amazed. They even have the best vegan meat brand in the world, Field Roast.
