As a third party delivery driver, when I go into your business, I can become a customer. However, if your workers such as “Alvin” the shorter gentleman on the left in the photo, wants to be extremely rude to third party drivers by not communicating with them and or ignoring their questions…you lose a customer as well as respect as a company. I shop here all the time, but the second I’m working third party- customer services becomes horrible. Very rude and very unprofessional but also it’s telling what kind of people get hired here.

I have to admit when I first moved back to my home state of Texas after 25 years and saw that the prominent grocery store chain HEB had Texas style BBQ I was a little skeptical. I am the first to admit that was a big mistake. The BBQ is legit. The brisket is on point. All of the proteins hold their own when stacked up against some of the better stand alone BBQ joints I have been to. I’m not saying that they are the best in Texas because we all know Texas has the best BBQ on the planet. With that said HEB is the real deal. The sides are great and some of the specialty items like the Texas Torpedo Bacon wrapped brisket stuffed jalapeño poppers are amazing. If you want great BBQ at a price that won’t break the bank when feeding the entire family HEB’s Texas BBQ won’t disappoint. The employee that helped guide me thru this experience was Vishv Ajith. Thank you for your amazing service and your stellar recommendations.

Every dish we ordered the taste was very very good. From the brisket to dessert to potato salad and the beans. All was tasty. However, they did forget my chicken strips and fries, but that happens sometimes on a to-go order … Had no problem reimbursing me the next day, but then forgot my ranch, so go figure? Highly recommend them for the taste, but make sure you check your bag(s) that you got every single thing you ordered before you drive home and find something missing. Always a major frustration. Will continue to frequent. 5 stars.

BBQ in the Grocery store. Weird vibe of the crew, kinda geeky robotic with hairnets. The self serve ordering is terrible. No body is up front to greet or help customers. The dining room was cool, very San Antonio. The Food was really good, served hot and huge portions.

We stopped in when we got to HEB really just to check out the menu. When we saw Dino rib we had to have lunch. We ordered the dino rib with cole slaw and potato salad, brisket queso nachos, and 2 Texas torpedo with both sweet and spicy sauce on the side. The first thought that came to my mind when I saw dino rib was the Flintstones when they get the rack of dino bones that makes their car fall over – and this dish was definitely just that. Between 1-1.5 lbs of meat on the rib alone, it could’ve easily fed a family of four. We had to eat it with a knife and fork but the rib bone was bigger than our heads. We will definitely be back. We ordered 2 Texas torpedos, stuffed avocados wrapped in sausage, they were delicious but we only needed one. It was sooo much food, delicious, but a ton of food.

This was the first time coming into the store and it was Absolutely disgusting. My brisket sandwich was very cold and lacked flavor not only that the guy handing me my food was extremely rude.
