Had a great dinner here with friends – the tabletop grill setup is fun and perfect for sharing. The skewers came out nicely seasoned and cooked evenly on the automatic rotator, especially the wings and sausages which stayed juicy and had a good smoky kick.
The spicy clams were a standout dish with a rich, garlicky chili sauce that was perfect over rice or just on their own. Service was friendly and efficient; staff checked on the grill and cleared plates quickly so the table never felt cluttered.
Overall, a comfortable spot for casual drinks and late-night skewers – would come back for the clams and grilled wings again.

First time visiting Golden Years for breakfast, and overall the experience was quite average. I probably won’t be coming back.
The restaurant is cash only for breakfast, so make sure to bring cash. We ordered xiaolongbao with tofu pudding, soy milk, and a youtiao. The xiaolongbao skins were sticking together and broke before we could even pick them up, and the flavor was nothing special. The soy milk tasted very watered down. We didn’t dare to drink the hot water because the cups had a strong disinfectant smell, so we ended up buying drinks elsewhere after finishing our food. The youtiao was quite small and tasted exactly like the frozen ones you can buy at T&T.
Surprisingly, the side dishes were the highlight of the table. The pickled radish was actually quite good, though I’m not sure if they’re house-made. We were also not given plates for the meal and had to use the youtiao plate to eat.
Overall, the food quality and dining experience didn’t meet expectations. Hopefully there will be improvements in the future.

Great table cooktop restaurant. The best part was the skewers rotate by themselves and cooks evenly. Good selection of meat, vegetables and service was very good. We will definitely be back.

Passed by this place a few times before finally give it a try. Walked in very hungry and had expected it to be like other skewer places where they bring you the cooked food. However, this place is more unique! The skewers are cooked rotating style in front of you. At first we were fairly unhappy because of how hungry we were but was honestly super happy by the end. The food was very yummy!
We ordered skewers that were $1 per skewer. There’s not a lot of meat on it but whatever meat is there is juicy and yummy.
Recommend the lamb and beef! The lamb was super yummy. Their self serve spice also adds to the flavour.
One star docked because the chicken wings were below average and took forever to cook.
The servers were really attentive and nice! We were having trouble determining when the food was actually cooked. So they came around to help us check!
One star docked from atmosphere because the table and chairs were fairly uncomfortable to sit in. For a restaurant where you’ll be there for an extended period of time due to waiting for food to finish cooking, the chairs should really be more comfortable!
Overall a really enjoyable experience. Only come when you’re not super hungry because it takes a while before you can actually start eating. Unless you order some cooked food like fried rice (which we did).

Pretty good spot for skewers with a wide selection to choose from. The rotating grill at the table is nice for even cooking. Not bad for a late night snack, food overall was tasty. Service and atmosphere were standard, cool experience.

Amazing Chinese BBQ restaurant! Make sure you call ahead to make reservations. We arrived at 7 pm on Saturday without a reservation and waited 30 minutes. This was not our first choice for BBQ but we were very fortunate to find this gem.
Very good skewers, eggplant, and friendly service. It was a unique and fun experience cooking our own skewers on their rotating machine. They give complimentary ice cream bars after dinner.
Overall, this place has a very fun vibe and makes for a great evening out. Looking forward to returning soon.

Our first time trying Chinese skewers and it didn’t disappoint. All of the meats and dishes tasted great. The lamb was nice and not gamey at all.
The whole roasting-spit-inside-your-table is a cool feature, but the DIY churrascaria-vibe left me in want, as the cubes of meat felt too small. I get that they have to be small to cook quickly at your table but you just don’t get the satisfying chew of a nice chunk of meat.
A fun place to go as a group but you go through skewers quickly, and you may be hungry even after spending a good amount on dinner.

It’s a fun experience watching the meat rotate on their own in the grill. Great place to hang out with friends. The quality of the ingredients is pretty good and there is no minimum orders for number of skewers which lets you have a good variety even with a small group. It takes a little while to cook but once the first batch is done and you start eating the rest will be done before you finish eating the first round.

probably my favorite skewer place in Canada. the food is always incredible (I suspect there’s crack in their spice mix), the prices are cheaper than any other place, and the staff are so lovely (they recognized my tie as a JoJo reference and played the soundtrack from the anime for me, hahaha).
