Freezer burned and over priced :/
I’m usually a fan of the green tea gelato as it was an ABSOLUTE favorite of mine in the summer. Though I have gone 3 times since the new year and even just on Thursday and it literally had ice crystals all in my gelato along with the fact that my scoop was HOLLOW in the center. I literally went for a spoonful and it was like empty as a student this is ridiculous but really for anyone bc how cheap do you have to be when you already have cut up floors and basically no seating. There are not only other gelato places in Montclair but if your desperate there’s ice cream too. So something really has to be done about this because the employee was a perfectly kind girl but I’m sure things like this are coming from on high.

There are lots of interesting flavors, but honestly, I wasn’t a huge fan of many of them. I felt that the gelato was too sweet and the flavors were too muted. Still a nice place to go if you are craving Gelato or intersted in experimenting in different flavors, but for an $8 minimum for a cup, I can’t say I would reccomend.

Ok, first off, this place would be worth the 1.5-2 hour drive, for me, from Philly. The flavor from the gelato or sorbet is never overwhelming and you want to keep going back for another taste. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is there. The mascarpone is on another level, compared to mascarpone I’ve had elsewhere. Hazelnut is incredible, as is the espresso. Can’t wait to go back and try other flavors.

So far my favorites are the Thai Tea, cream cheese, and lastly Ricotta which I tried about 18 years ago at another location which I haven’t seen yet at this one but the flavors change everyday so I’m bound to come across it eventually

You know a place is good when there’s a line at 9pm on a Tuesday night! Newly opened gelato shop with hundreds of flavors that change daily. I’m usually not an adventurous person when it comes to flavors, but this place encouraged me to try something new. Every scoop is packed with flavor! Owners are so kind and the vibe is fresh. What more can you want from a gelato shop? Will definitely be back for more.

Had the fresh mint, beet, and blueberry… all flavors were SO TASTY and fragrant!! Great pricing and generous portions. Beautiful store design as well inside an old bank Will definitely be back again to try other flavors like Basil, Chocolate Bourbon, and Black Sesame.

So nice to see a more easily accessible location for NJ! I tried their dark chocolate cinnamon and pear flavors.
Their space is easy to find and also really warm (on a chilly high 30s day December 2021).
So many flavors to try for next time. Note they are currently allowing up to 2 flavor samples.

I’ve walked past this place so many times before finally giving it a try, and honestly, I have no idea why I waited so long. Especially on summer days when the line stretches out the door. The gelato is high quality with such unique flavors. My favorite has to be the mascarpone and turkish fig! Definitely give them a try, you’ll probably leave wanting more.

The woman behind the counter has the patience of a saint! She was giving out those samples w speed and not complaining. She was not only efficient but very kind.
