Our son’s wedding reception was held here in October. I can’t say enough positive things about Kyle, his willingness to fulfill our every need, and his professionalism. It was a beautiful reception, so much fun, and the atmosphere in late October is just gorgeous!

My husband and I had our wedding here 10/3/21 and it was beyond perfect!
First of all, the venue is absolutely stunning especially in the fall. It makes for a perfect rustic fall wedding! It exactly fit the aesthetic we were going for!
Second, the food was INCREDIBLE! It was loved and raved about by each and every one of our guests! And they even let us take left overs (which we thoroughly enjoyed)!!
Third, the pricing was OUTSTANDING! Including food it is truly a price you can’t beat – and even though it was very affordable, it wasn’t as the saying goes “you get what you pay for”. To us, the day felt like it was worth a million dollars! You just can’t put a price on how amazing our day was, but we are so thankful to the Afton River Club for their affordable pricing that definitely helped us make our dream day HAPPEN!
And lastly, the customer service we received totally blew us away! Kyle helped us throughout the ENTIRE wedding planning process with more than just the venue and food – he even recommended places to get a cake and was there for any question we had about how to plan a wedding!
I would 1,000% recommend to anyone to have their wedding here! If I could do it all over I would still choose The Afton River Club to host my wedding day!

Afton “The Undying Light” Residents
Good food, good land and sea buffet on Fridays. The owners are Very charitable with a free holiday dinner every year (or maybe it’s lunch, cant remember). Family owned and operated.
Great outdoor seating on a nice deck on the river.
Interesting historically as well. Used to be a train station until it was moved from the tracks to the river by locals.
Update 2023! Loving it! We got zip zap shrimp, boneless wings with habanero sauce and carrots to soothe the heat, and mozzarella sticks and they were great! Servers name was Kyle very awesome dude. Can’t wait to go back again soon! Thanks guys!

Our experience at the River Club was very remarkable. Our waiter, Kyle, greeted us with smiles and grace after we casually knocked on the door after being on the river for four days. We were looking to get a bite and charge batteries and initially thinking it would be too fancy. Despite the fanciness they welcomed us and shared stories and had an amazing lunch.
Can’t recommend a better place to stop into when either passing through or staying in Afton. Thank you!
