Tried the sampler of all 14 ciders and had a great time shopping the merchandise. It’s also set on a beautiful site next to a creek. The whole family had a great time!

Beautiful scenery. Friendly customer service, delicious sliders. The star of the show was the BBQ. Super succulent ribs with delicious barbecue sauce. Good jerk, chicken, very, very good mac & cheese. Jeff and Jon are kicking butt with their barbecue!

Fantastic place on a beautiful farm to grab some cider and other drinks. It was perfect for a Fall weekend trip. The options change during the year, they have a calendar that is offered month-by-month. The peachy cider we tried was delicious and refreshing. A lot of gift options. This place is more wheelchair friendly than the maze part. Plenty of space and activities for the kids. Open also in the evening/night. There are flushing toilets here, which of course you won’t find in the corn maze.

We visited Blue Toad Hard Cider as members of Harvest Host and they welcomed us with open arms. After we setup the RV behind Cider Hall we explored the property and tried a few flights of their hard cider. The food onsite was really good although they were out of some of the options but hey, that’s what you get when you show up on a Sunday afternoon. They are generous with their flights of cider so you have plenty to try out as you search for your favorite one. Most of them were really good but there as a few that just didn’t tickle our fancy. The property was absolutely gorgeous tucked back in the mountains with views of Winter Green as a backdrop. The fall festival was in full swing so we sat and enjoyed the sounds of kids playing and rolling down the hill in tubes. There was plenty of seating around the property and in the cider hall where they had live music going. Overall this is an awesome place to visit for the day and enjoy some great time with friends and family. Everyone we talked to on the staff was very courteous and welcoming. We look forward to our next visit.

We got the cider flight and sat outside as the sun set to enjoy one of the several fires Blue Toad had burning for guests. Our kids played at the playset and walked the grounds. No food sold here today. Not really any drinks for kids (Prime in a fridge inside). Easy to get to, scenic and friendly staff. We enjoyed the cider. Star off for not having the easy win, non alcoholic cider for kids.

Update in summer 2025: same great place. Drew playing guitar and singing – expert – was a lovely surprise. For more see below… Consistently great.

Interesting range of ciders. It was nice having a tasting option, pint pours while hanging out, and 4-can packs to-go, along with a pop-up place (the two days while we were there) selling a shrimp boil plates. Since we were camping at Devils Backbone across the street, this was our go-to daytime venture out, which worked out super-well because our dogs were welcomed to come along. There was live music one of the days. We brought yard games, because there was plenty of space to spread out. Between the chairs and tables, loose chairs, and the picnic tables, there were plenty of spaces to sit for eating, drinking and relaxing. A special treat is checking out the creek in the back; there’s a very nice area to swing your legs in the water.

I’m a local, not a tourist. I’ve been to all the places on Rt. 151. This place is beautiful!!! I definitely recommend. Their ciders are delicious and they have different combinations that are interesting every time. The staff is amazing! They do offer pizza, but it’s mainly a Cidery. Great outdoor spaces to relax, fire pits, and Connect 4 games to play. You’ll definitely get a table to hang out here! It’s not too crazy busy.

Blue Toad Cidery was the highlight of our day in Nellysford and Angela was the bomb! Knowledgeable and friendly service – check! Amazing outdoor seating by the creek – check! Fourteen (yes, fourteen) ciders on tap – check! Came home with a nice haul of ciders for the fridge and can’t wait to go back

I am not a beer drinker, but I absolutely love ciders! Blue Toad is one of my favorites to visit when we are in town. Great atmosphere and even better drinks. If you are looking for great ciders, look no further.

I’ve always seen Blue Toad’s sign on my way to blueridge parkway and I had never been there. I was very surprised to find such inviting setting and so delicious and refreshing hard cider. My dog looked very happy hanging out around the grounds. Very spacious, clean picnic areas and more like a laidback setting. Great selection of cider samples. I ended up getting me a 4 pack. Very happy I ran into such beautiful place.
