So I thought I’d try the “Best Burger on the Menu” burger, and I made it a combo meal with fries. The bill came to eighteen bucks and change, so I was expecting a little “wow” with my experience. After paying, I was nearly immediately served my drink (filled with ice). As I stood there waiting for my drink, I was disappointed with watching a lethargic crew prepare the few orders in front of me. It took the burger flipper just over 3 minutes to place my patties on the grill. With three cooks and another on the register, there was no excuse for the delay. I waited a total of 12 minutes for my burger and fries. I immediately walked to a table, sat down, and started eating. The burger was just okay. I found it a bit too salty, but I did like the peppery flavor. I could be wrong, but the meat tasted like it had been frozen before. The fries were warm, not hot.
Will I go back? No. I believe there are better options out there for both food quality and value for what you get for your money.

The first six months of coming here was incredible but six months later on a Saturday night food seems old meat is not juicy. Overcooked cheese is dry buns are dry and the cook just looks absolutely overwhelmed and passionless. I will never come here again on a Saturday maybe it’s good on a Wednesday night though. I ranked it one star that way people can know when to come usually this place has been really great, but whoever they got working tonight is not it. Managment is order fresh food taste very old. It’s no longer California style. I’m not a Karen. I just want Managment to read this so they can fix it and I can come back and love it again. We are taking these home. They’re no good.

Tasty burger with a cool diner vibe. Prices are a bit steep, and the tater tots weren’t great, but overall, it’s a solid spot. Not my first pick, but I wouldn’t mind eating here again!

My sister and I had visited the Durango yesterday and noticed Irv’s. She had a flight cancellation last night, and so we came back this morning before our second trip to the airport. I mean, when you see a sign that says a business has been around since 1946, you expect it will be delicious, however, I wasn’t prepared for the absolute most exquisite burger that I had! I am always on a Quest for the most excellent Smashburger and let me just tell you I have finally found it. I ordered the “Irv’s best burger on the menu,” yes, that is actually what it’s called, and also yes, it actually is; however, I think it should be renamed to “Irv’s best burger on the planet”!

First time trying Irv’s Burgers. This location is at the EAT YOUR HEART OUT Food Hall at the Durango Casino and Resort.
I tried their Turkey Burger with everything, cheese and their Onion Rings with a side of Ranch Dressing and BBQ Sauce.
The turkey burger was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. Many times when ordering a turkey burger out it ends up dry but not this one. It was juicy and flavorful!
The onion rings were crunchy but not oily and tasted delicious. Whatever seasoning they are using is great.
Their pricing is fair and the portion size of each was perfect for a meal that will leave you feeling well-fed.
The staff moves very quickly and is very friendly.
The wait time was as expected for a freshly cooked turkey burger.
It is usually very busy during peak meal times.
You order from a cashier. The menu is overhead.
They call your name or order number.
There are lots of things that sound delicious on their menu that I have yet to try but I will be coming back for more! They also have a breakfast menu that I hope to try soon as well.
There is free self-parking on all sides of the casino and resort including one immediately adjacent to the Food Hall. There is also a free self-parking structure on the Food Hall side that has elevators that take you directly to the Food Hall area within the casino.
There is a lot of comfortable seating throughout the Food Hall as well as an outdoor patio with plenty of seating, large overhead fans, and a partially shaded area covered by a trellis.
I also must mention how incredibly clean and well-maintained the seating area, the parking lots, and the restrooms within Durango Casino are (as well as the casino itself). Thier internal maintenance staff are very visible and always keeping everything super clean throughout the place!
The casino is open 24 hours.

For the 4th time in a row the French fries were terrible! Tasted and looked old! The cheese sauce for the fries was burned. Had a darker color to it. Ive probably ordered cheese sauce for my wife 5 times and 4 times it has been brownish yellow. The fries being old makes no sense as we always order beyond burgers. They have time to make the fries sorta fresh. This last time it was very slow! Spent 34 dollars.

Irv’s Burgers at the Durango Casino is amazing! I have been a few times now and it is well worth the wait you have sometimes. Fresh fries, fresh and tasty burgers that are not small and their onion rings are soooooo good and crunchy! Its always nice you can add a tasty shake to your order too! Oh, and a secret is to join their club. they give generous points back for future purchases.

I usually don’t do a review, but I just have to comment today. Usually love Irv’s burgers, but today I was disappointed. The turkey burger was so very salty! I am not sure what happened, but maybe it was just an oversight. Also the fries were not as yummy. Did they change recipe or what.? Anyways, will give it another try and another time.
