I went at lunchtime. It was not busy. I let the server know immediately that I wanted to use a gift card. Her service was great from beginning to end. I had the red beans and rice- was delicious. The potato salad that came with was unexpectedly spicy but the texture and taste was really good. I ordered the white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. The bread pudding smelled so good I hardly wanted to eat it! When I did finally take spoon it tasted as good as it smelled. I liked the festive decor and painting. There were a few large tvs mounted around the restaurant. It had a fun, casual vibe that would be great to enjoy with friends.

The best cajun food I have ever tasted! The potato salad was amazing and the RB&R was too! The Boudin balls and especially the Boudin egg rolls were excellent as well.

Service sucks !!! Blonde waitress was rude and brought out cold food initially. Seems she was bothered or irritated just by us even eating here paid more attention to socializing with other waiters and scrolling on phone than taking care of customers. I had to ask several times for refill and took an exceptionally long time to bring check. This is a new establishment and the customer service is just not there. Shrimp and crab legs are good but just a tad spicy. Jambalaya was ok

I ordered some a shrimp broil and it was super Horrible! The shrimp is loud smell as if it was microwaved in ally cat saliva. The corn was also microwaved and smelled like rubber. And the rice!! What the Heck is this? There was nothing on the menu available except shrimp and potatoes.
We were so mad we couldn’t even go back inside to request a refund.

This was my first time here and let me tell you guys this is the best place to have authentic Cajun food. My brother had the red beans and rice and he ate it all said it was really good and tasty
I had the shrimp Étouffée and it was wonderful and for this lady she couldn’t eat it all. But I would recommend this Don P restaurant to any of my friends and family.

We came from out of state wanting something different than just fast food. We found Don p on Google and decided to give them a try there website and menu options sounded good so we went. In finding this restaurant it was street parking not blaming them on that kinda is what it is on that but got a spot and came in. The restaurant was moderately busy there was no strong smell of food in the air kinda weird for a restaurant serving Cajun food but we found a table and was greeted by the waitress. We ordered a Cajun pasta chicken nuggets our kid and chicken gumbo with sausage. the drink options are coke and Pepsi products with a option of milos sweet tea. Charged 3 dollars per drink. We got our food and the pasta was hot in some places and just luke warm in others like it was microwaved before coming to the table. The chicken and sausage gumbo looked absolutely disgusting and very watered down no flavor at all the chicken nuggets were obviously a store bought item and just reheated. I have eaten many different dishes from Louisiana from the nice restaurants all the way to some good home cooking fresh from an actual bayou. This place was just a straight up disappointment. I hope the owner figures out how to season his food better because having something that’s just spicy doesn’t make it good food. You can tell that garlic, onion and celery were foreign concepts in this restaurant and can’t call this Cajun food without it.

The service was amazing! I’m giving 3 stars because the food needs seasoning. The crab was overcooked and was tough to get out but we made it work. We loved the restaurant and the service but the food just really lacked seasoning. We got the shrimp boil and two types of gumbo. The shrimp had some spice but that’s it. The gumbo seemed overcooked as well. We recommend some spice level options and flavor level of some sort because Cajun seafood should have so much flavor or at least the option to have it.

HORRIBLE!!!! The workers sat on their phone and gossip. We had trouble getting help. Our table was dirty. Our Crawfish Came straight from the refrigerator and into the microwave. The corn wasn’t even cooked all the way. And The sweet tea was old. Also, the butter was fake butter. We were so excited to Eat some crawfish, but the seasoning was terrible and it was super hard to Peel because it was so cold. My shrimp Was also Very stiff and old. Will not be going back thank you.

Yesterday, a client treated me this wonderful spot! Love this place, the staff was amazingly accommodating and nice, and the food was great – one big serving! Lol, I couldn’t eat it all! Definitely going back! The Jambalaya and Cajun Pasta were to die for!!! ❤️❤️❤️
