Ate here twice during my weeklong trip and enjoyed it immensely both times. Their FISH and CHIPS was THE BEST with the CRISPIEST fish ever! I actually came back the 2nd time so I could have it again, but I happened to come at Happy Hour which I didn’t even know was a thing (5-7pm) so I decided to take advantage that and have the oysters and charcuterie instead! Very reasonably priced, particularly during happy hour and the quality of food was just fantastic! Everything was fresh and delicious with generous portion sizes. Nice environment. Convenient location in the lobby of The Lincoln Hotel. Very helpful and attentive waitstaff. I highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Service & Consistent Excellence

I have visited Americano Lincoln Park multiple times, and each experience has reaffirmed why this restaurant stands out in Chicago’s dining scene. The service is truly unparalleled—warm, attentive, and consistent across every visit. I’m especially drawn to the Hispanic ownership and culture, which shines through in the hospitality, work ethic, and authentic sense of community they bring to the table.

I’ve noticed some negative reviews, and respectfully, many reflect a level of entitlement that simply isn’t aligned with the reality of this establishment. Americano is a busy, vibrant restaurant that serves a diverse range of clients, and the team handles it with grace, professionalism, and genuine care. Their efforts deserve recognition, not unfair criticism.

I highly recommend Americano Lincoln Park to anyone seeking great food, great energy, and exceptional service. I will continue to return and support this outstanding team.

I was a little scared about my food because some people have stated getting cold food, but it came out fresh and delicious.

We were served by the manager who was unpleasant to interact with. We had a party of 8 and had waited 45 minutes to be seated despite our reservation. When we were finally seated, he came over and without saying hello asked, “Who seated you here?” Then he scurried off somewhere.
We talked and prepared our orders and when he finally came back he was impatient taking the order despite the fact that we waited 10-15 minutes for him to even stop by our table again.
Three stars for service because of him.

It’s only so high because Anahita (who wasn’t our server, but was tending the bar) was the only reason we got seated after waiting 45 minutes, made sure that we had water and cutlery on the table, and even helped get someone to our table in the first place. Five stars for Anahita! She is the light in that space.

Also, I did enjoy the ambiance despite the manager’s damping of the mood. Hopefully, when you go, you’ll hit all of the light notes without having to interact with him. Enjoy!

The burger and the chicken sandwich are delicious. We loved the mocktails as well.
Met one of the co-owners who was super kind and welcoming. Will be back for sure so we can sit at the outdoor patio

We came here for Sunday brunch and the food and drinks were fantastic! I loved that several drink choices were included in the $30 bottomless package not just mimosas. We ordered the lobster benedict and churro french toast to share. The service was very disappointing. It took 35 minutes from the time we sat down to the time we got our first cocktail. The server also said we could swap the side salad for french fries but sneakily charged us $5 to do so. Had we known we would have just spent $7 to get a side of french fries in addition to the salad that came with the benedict. The food and drinks made up for the bad service so I think I’ll come back, just hope we have a different server next time…..

Very tasty food, friendly hostess girls, and welcoming staff. The music was quite loud, but the hostesses kindly offered to turn it down so we could comfortably chat with our friends — that was a nice touch. Delicious cuisine, reasonable prices, and a fun atmosphere every day. We’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!

Service was exceptional. Love the environment. Wish the oysters came with classic condiments. The pasta we ordered was too salty but we already digged into it and tried just eating the noodles. It was still too salty.

The other dishes were good.

Great Happy Hour deal. My friends and I came when it was 70 degrees on a Friday in March. The patio was open and perfect for enjoying the nice weather. It was very busy and the staff did their best to keep up. The food was great for the deal but there are some rules/limitations. I would skip the wings as they were underwhelming, and the whole table has to order the bottomless wings. I would definitely come back again though.

Billing Overcharge & Poor Service
I visited Americano Restaurant and was overcharged. My receipt totaled one price, but my card was later charged another price with no explanation for the extra money on the tip line. My server, Carlos, made an unauthorized tip increase.

Service was also not great. Our server, Carlos, was not attentive—it often seemed like his attention was elsewhere—and key requests took multiple follow‑ups. To make matters worse, the final bill reflected a tip overcharge.

I called to speak with a manager and was offered a drink on my next visit instead of a proper correction. I’ve repeatedly tried to reach the manager, and no one has called me back. Charging more than the signed amount is unacceptable and feels deceptive and is considered fraud.

Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
