Realizing why this place has such great reviews!
I recently moved to the area and struggled with finding a new go-to spot. Ting Ho restaurant is observably well maintained, uses fresh ingredients, and pretty tasty! And they devein their shrimp which is always very telling and a huge plus in terms of care and cleanliness IYKYK The receptionist accommodated several changes to the menu items and walked me through building an order to my liking just the way I wanted it.
While I admire the nostalgic feel this restaurant portrays, I wish they offered more convenient options for placing an order online instead of needing to call in. Also if they were open for business during lunchtime on weekdays, it would be the ideal choice for customers looking for a place to eat on break. Maybe one day in the future!

One of my favorite Places to eat I noticed they have more combo options on their menu compared to other Chinese spots. We ordered the Beef and broccoli. The broccoli was well cooked and the beef very tender. We please try the steamed pork dumplings delicious, the dumpling come with a great dipping sauce

I have eaten from here for years, but the last few years I have been a patron of a different chinese spot. I am SO thankful I found the OTHER spot. 30 minute wait and $42 later, I get burnt/cold crab rangoon, stale tasting mild sesame chicken that would burn the roof off of a house (I dont even know if it is really chicken), pork fried rice that could only be described as FLAVORLESS yellow rice with 2 pieces of pork and a cold over cooked DRY as hell egg roll. I’m NOT even going to torture my stomach and try my chicken noodle soup. In the garbage it all went….. RUN people …. RUN!!

Quite possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had and I’m not that picky. I should have known this was gonna be a “skip” when the girl who answered the phone told me to hold and then started chatting to someone for a couple minutes with me sitting there on the open line.
Crab Rangoon had no crabmeat whatsoever inside and the cream cheese looked like it had separated and honestly tasted spoiled. I opened up 3 of the 6 and they were all the same. Pork lo mein was actually burnt and smelled like charred plastic. I swear whoever was cooking it forgot it was in the wok and didn’t care. I went to pour it into a serving bowl and after catching one whiff of it and seeing the texture it went right into the trash.
From my own experience and other recent reviews on Google I’d say this place has slipped from what it apparently used to be.

We order here at least once a week. If you live in the Wallingford/Meriden area, hands down the best Chinese food around. Inside is very small and dark, so we order out, but indoor seating is available. The menu Carrie’s all the traditional Chinese takeout items, and they are always willing to customize any dish to your liking. I usually order chicken wings with boneless spare ribs and beef fried rice with eggs. I’ve tried a lot of Chinese restaurants in the area, and so far, none compare to the taste and quality of food from Ting Ho.

Moving to CT from Southern California was challenging when it came down to finding good Chinese food. After trying numerous places, we found Ting Ho to be our ultimate go-to spot. Quality of food is top notch and everything is always fresh and delicious. These guys are the real deal!
On a side note, they are incredibly kind and helped up jump start our car when the battery died (in the cold with 3 kids in tow). Not the purpose of this review, but certainly a plus.

Went here on a Wednesday as soon as they opened. I ordered ribs boneless and with the bone. Boneless, you couldn’t chew with the bone we’re burnt. Rice extra pork, no flavor. Dumplings were burnt. Plus, we got food poisoning. So needless to say, you won’t go here no more they use to be good, but know they just suck
