Finally tried this popular spot after recommendations from friends and internet reviews. The day I came with my friend we were sat quickly but there were a lot of people also dining in. The inside is beautiful, clean, and the staff were friendly.
My friend and I had house special chow mein, jya jee gai, steamed cha siu bao, and xiao long bao. I thought all the food was delicious. The chow mein had thinner and more fried noodles than I’m used to but was flavorful. It was my first time trying the jya jee gai and it was delicious! The skin was crispy and the seasoned salt added a delicious flavor to the chicken. I’m glad to have finally tried this spot and will be back in the future.

Been coming here since I was a kid, always a solid place for lunch with friends, family, or guests. The egg tarts are delicious and there’s even a fish tank with goldfish for the kids to look at!

In a nutshell; has one of the best egg tarts I’ve ever had in recent times, good food overall
Parking is a pain though considering it is downtown area, they have a small lot for parking next to the building but I’m sure that may get filled up in busy times. The food, dim sum, and egg tarts were all great. Servers were all accommodating. Place has a lot of tables and can sit a number of parties. Designed like most dimsum places. Overall great experience.

Old reliable! Everything I’ve experienced on the dinner and dim sum menus is very well made. Whoever the chefs are, they have not disappointed me once. If you’re in the mood for good ol’ Chinese-American food (which leans a little more on the Chinese side), it’s hard to go wrong with this place. I recommend the Salt and Pepper Ribs and the Green Bean Chicken, but most things you’d expect on a Chinese-American menu are here: fried rice, mu-shu, chow fun, etc.. Portion sizes are fair for the price. Free onsite parking make accessibility easy.

Tasty salt + pepper green beans with fried chiles. BBQ pork and orange chicken were decent. Jiaozi dough kind of thick but filling and sauce were nice. I ordered takeaway on a Thursday. I didn’t get the $5.50 dim sum prices on any of the dishes. I wish they gave an itemized receipt. Maybe it’s only dim sum if you eat-in? I’ll try again next time before I make a final decision.

No yall aren’t getting it… this place is operating on another level. Beef chow fun is not to be messed with and these folks killed it. Pork dumps and shrimp dumps will have me coming back. And, FOR ME, the stroke of genius was the broccoli with oyster sauce. A favorite dish in general, but the broccoli leaves were especially saucy and delicious. You need to be eating here. Tea Cup Cafe… yeah, light the beam babes. It’s so good.

I would not have known tea cup cafe is a dim sum place if someone didn’t recommend it to me lol! It seems very authentic for the most part, everything was very tasty, and it was all super affordable too!
We came in here like let’s go all in splurge for my bday dinner!! and left extremely full with just a $35 bill. It’s nice places like this still exist. Good asian food that isn’t painfully marked up.
Great Soup dumplings, the largest I’ve ever seen. Good xiu mai and har gow. Nice and dense. Quality tasting.
Okay spare rib with black bean.. Pretty awkward to eat because the meat does not come easily off the bone.
For dessert, great Sesame balls, larger than normal. They come hot with a super crisp shell and a satisfying chewy texture inside, definitely try it if dining in! We wanted to try their egg tart but they didn’t have it that day, maybe next time!
Lastly, the lobster turnovers. Really annoyed i fell for the review hype. I mean how can I resist when someone was even saying they drive from far away for this lol! It was our most expensive dish and the worst value in my opinion. Very deep fried. Took one bite. Luckily my partner finished the rest, but he agreed it was a regretful order.
Dining in was pleasant, tables were a little close but lots of seating. There is one waiter guy. Classic authentic Asian service, efficient and not overly friendly haha just catch their attention if you need anything. You use an expo marker on their laminated menu to mark what dishes you want.
This place is great. I liked journey to the dumpling a lot too but that place was like 11-14$ for each dish! Tea cup cafe is my dimsum go to for sure, I’d need a good reason to go somewhere else! Come over on weekdays for really good deals!
