Been going to this place for years, but will definitly rethink in the future. Table of 6. Half our table ordered beef tacos. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, we witnessed the owner, Freddie, kick out a couple with a SERVICE DOG, yet they were sitting in a back corner away from people because the weather outside was in the single digits freezing cold! When our food came out of the kitchen, all 3 taco baskets were ice cold. We returned them to kitchen. A few minutes later, they brought back our 3 taco baskets and every 1 tasted like boiled hamburger meat… no other flavor, no seasoning at all. Spoke to the owner, Freddie, and all he did was go yell at the kitchen staff and then continue to drink and get drunk! We were billed for all 3 taco baskets we couldn’t even eat, no compensation at all was offered. Definitely not a good way to run your business and now you definitely have 6 unhappy customers all at once!!! Will think twice before returning.

Actually been coming here for years. Service has deteriated for the last few months. Tonight my $10.25 burrito, I was charged $16. When I showed the new server the menu price was told they have changed and new menus weren’t there yet. Not only wrong but illegal.

The least authentic Mexican food I’ve have ever eaten. It’s like a tourist went to Mexico and tried Mexican food and then without any real idea what they are doing opened a Mexican restaurant. The staff are super friendly and it’s great environment to hang out but the Mexican food is not great. Pork tacos were ok and chile relleno I couldn’t finish it was so bad. Probably a great place to go grab a drink but to eat Mexican food I would pass.

Blinding lights and broken bathroom sink aside, the BEAN BURRITO smothered in HOT DOG CHILI was a physical declaration of mankind’s contempt for the natural order. While attempting to consume this monstrosity, I discovered a belief in God I had never known because I could feel his warmth moving away from me with each bite.

TLDR: Do NOT get red chili on your burrito.

Walked inside with my son and not 1 single staff member greeted us or offered us a seat. Walked out after 3 minutes of just standing there. Would be helpful if someone would have acknowledged us. Didn’t feel comfortable or welcomed at all! If someone could say hi or welcome it might bring in more business. This was my 1st and only time I will step foot in this establishment.

A little misleading, but the place is a pretty solid family vibe restaurant. Looks like a hole-in-the-wall type bar with all the black colors making the place darker than it needs to be, but it is actually a solid family restaurant.

The wait staff is also quite friendly and mellow. The food itself was done pretty quick. The breakfast burritos are pretty standard, but are done well and has an extra oomf when smothered.

So the young lady that was working the register she said she was the manager of black hair I ordered a handheld burrito beans chili green chili and beef and lettuce and tomato and a side of rice. The cook comes up and says we’re at our rights I can what can I substitute for how about a quesadilla because I know the quesadillas and $1.75 more I go with that’s not my fault that you guys are add a rice make your customer happy and just give him the keys quesadilla. She said I can give you a half cheese quesadilla for the $3. I was just getting my money back for the whole order. I’ll cover the rest of money and give you the cheese quesadilla. They gave me a smothered bean burrito and I’m driving that’s not good. First and last time I come to this place lucero’s I want a hot chili and that was like soup chili.

This place smacks OG. The green chili is some of the best I’ve had in awhile. Great place to come and chill. The guys at the 303 training Center come here and chill after class.

We have been going to Lucero’s for at least 6 months now, and we are happy to say it is our “go to” choice for awesome drink value, and some of the best tacos and breakfast burritos smothered in green chile on the Front Range of CO.
We love the All day everyday Happy Hour! – it starts around 11am-until 7:00pm.
Lucero’s have a Taco Tuesday Special with 1/2 off tacos from the Menu. They also serve a Breakfast burrito that is available all day! but what we love the most was the hospitality from the owners Gina and Freddy and all the folks that frequent the restaurant and Tavern are fabulous salt of the earth type of amiable folk! I highly recommend a visit to Lucero’s IV!
