We arrived during off hours in mid afternoon. Online, I thought it was a restaurant. Looks were deceptive. The gentleman who waited on us was courteous and friendly. After ordering, he brought us a styrofoam cup with salsa and a large basket of tortilla chips. The salsa was fabulous and fresh with a wonderful balance of flavors, the chips were fresh and crispy. Our Platters of food were delicious, and Very generous servings. The carne asada platter was fantastic and filling. A half a jalapeno that had been marinated in a mild vinegar with a light oregano garlic flavor added to the delight. The rest of my family had fish taco platters or carne asada nachos. All delicious, we ate it all barely. My first visit will make me a return customer.

With such a great number of these establishments popping up around town in the last year, it is hard to review them independently. Here, they have some menu items you don’t typically see at the majority of these style of eaterys that I am most interested in trying. I played it safe for my first visit and got the rolled tacos, which are really good! The rice and beans are pretty standard, and you get the standard guacamole and shredded lettuce nest, but there’s has cheese also! The lady that took my order was very nice, and they cleaned up the dining area a little, which this building needed bad. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, and I will come back to try some of the less common items they offer. One thing that made this one stand out for me was the combination menu. You can get a good variety in one normal sized meal, and you don’t have to order large trays of multiple dishes to get some variety.

Try this spot!! Quality California style Mexican food. Burgos rancheros are on point along with properly grilled asada in the shrimp and steak burrito. Tried the special burrito today and it was approx 14” long and filled with sour cream, meat and cheese, lettuce, and the salsas are all so good too. Will be back soon.

On the positive side: The service was good and the portions are huge. However, the bean burrito was pretty disappointing~ very little flavor despite the size. More concerning was a strong, unpleasant smell inside the building that made it hard to enjoy. Other meals might not be too bad though! Food was cold.

The menu offers a lot of great choices. I had a really hard time choosing and ended up picking the two Asada burritos combo simply because it offered left overs.

The food is outstanding. My wife is from Southern California and said it reminded her of home.

Serving sizes are big, and the service was friendly.

I scrutinized the menu descriptions and the picture details. There was only one item that I could spot, different than any other OkieMex or Authentic Mexican restaurant offering in Oklahoma. That item was the “Flying Saucer.” Essentially a taco salad served on a flat fried flour tortilla. As it turned out they don’t serve it that way any way. So, I can’t pick out anything that might make Los Victor’s Mexican Food, California style. And that’s a good thing.

I had that Flying Saucer with asada and my wife had the sopes with asada. The flying saucer was taco salad served in a fried flour tortilla bowl, not like the picture on the menu. The taco salad and sopes were loaded with the asada. Excellent asada. Both meals were filling and good. (Check the pictures) Beans and rice were average. The meals are delivered to your table on foam plates. Which means no hot plates. Yeah, I know it is fast food, but still a disappointment. The chips were fresh and the dark Arbol salsa is super. On the menu the chips are listed as $7.25. Which is outrageous, when they are gratis at most any Mexican restaurant. That charge may only be for to go orders. We weren’t charged for them. Maybe if you dine in, they are free. You are going to want them though, for the salsa. The service is minimal.

The food is decent, but you must get it to go. And that’s too bad because Los Victor’s has a little fresh salsa bar you will miss out on. Trust me though, don’t dine in the restaurant just yet. Why? When we walked in, we were greeted with a really unpleasant odor. An attempt was being made to disguise the odor with the unmistakable smell of a Mexican restaurant’s favorite cleaning product. It caused me to pause for a second and make the decision of whether or not to eat there. The best description that I can come up with for the smell is a bean, hard boiled egg, beer fart mixed with Fabuloso. As we were eating an employee decided to mop the floor with you know what …. The Fabuloso vapors were now overpowering the taste of the food. Fortunately, we were about done. The odor made for a bad dining experience. I hope it gets better.

The food 4-star/average. Get it to go and ask for the chili Arbol salsa.

If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection “Jalapeno Highway” by Spike S. on Yelp. I’ve probably been there.

The steak nachos are amazing, my wife got chicken and was just as pleased. These are one of my favorite nachos ever. The restaurant has a wide verity of dishes and I can’t wait to try them all, although I have been three times and ordered the same dish. Next trip I’ll try the caldo de res.

We placed order online and was ready as promised. No mistakes were made as we made some special requests on some food items for 8 people.Food was very tasty and very authentic. Prices are reasonable. Lady at drivethru window was very friendly and very pleasant to talk to. Will come here again when in the area.

My go-to taco shop that’s the closest to the socal style taco shops I tore up while living in San Diego. The food is fire, relatively cheap, and huge portions. Definitely give these guys a try. Or don’t so there’s not a big line when I come!

It’s definitely California sized portions! The value you get with the amount of food is very fair! The food arrived hot and it wasn’t a long wait at all. The horchata is an absolute must try! I ordered plate #14 and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito.
