WOW!!!!!! Mama J Restaurant
Hands down the best Nigerian food I’ve tasted since moving to Atlanta! The flavors are authentic and absolutely delicious. The owner, Mama J, and her amazing staff make you feel right at home — warm, friendly, and full of joy. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and has a fun-filled atmosphere that makes every visit a true delight. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and great vibes! ✨ I bighly recommend ❤️

The meal we ate was very delicious!! Service was great, owner of the restaurant is very friendly and checks on the guests to make sure everything is copacetic.
FYI, the amala meal is only served on Thursday’s & Friday’s.

Last time I ever go back. Food is good but portion size seems to be determined on how they feel that day. $18 for Suya and you get half a scoop. $5 for beef and get 3 nuggets. It took 30 minutes to get the food and they’re giving out kiddie meals for adult prices

I was told to pick up the catering order I had at 3 and when I showed up, the food wasn’t finished. There was no explanation and you’re just supposed to accept that your time will be wasted because a business isn’t as organised as they should be.
You all need to do better. The food was good based on feedback. Thanks to the lady and the young man who were at the front: they were upbeat and amazing and helpful.
Oh and that suya box? Rip-off. If anyone wants suya for the same price point and more as far as portion, there is a African grocery store hidden away in kennesaw off Cherokee street: they’re usually closed on Sundays but they’re solid.

I ordered ewa agoyin and bread, but when I got home and started eating the beans, I noticed small insects (kokoro inu ewa). The food itself tasted good, but seeing those bugs made me stop eating. If you’re Nigerian, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about when it comes to beans. Please check your beans—or maybe it’s the sauce on top—but this isn’t acceptable. We’re in America, not Nigeria.

Mama J restaurant in Marietta GA is family run and delights in giving every customer an enriched and individual experience. Mama J is always on ground asking customers for real time feedback about their culinary experience.
Facility is clean and spacious and you don’t feel like you are on top of other people. Food is cooked fresh..really fresh and in plentiful quantities.
Restaurant is open from 11.a.m. every day but not sure of Sunday hours.
Mama J restaurant is also a good supporter of the homeless and I’ve seen that they go out at times during the year to feed the homeless. This charitable act shows the heart of the restaurant owners and staff toward humanity.
Food is finger licking delicious and reminds me of home. I will definitely eat in on my next visit… Thank you Mama J!

I had the pleasure of dining at Mama J’s for lunch today and I must say that it did not disappoint. The food variety is amazing and very tasty and she has plenty of spicy foods for those who enjoy it that way. Mama J was very hospitable and attentive to our group. I will absolutely be going back for more. Mama J even jumped in a photo with us.

Today I went to mama’s J African restaurant. I was highly impressed with her cooking. I ordered egusi soup with pounded yam and let me tell you it was so good. The food was fresh, hot, and super delicious. Her restaurant was super clean, and Mama J is such a sweet, funny and kind woman, with an awesome vibe. She can really cook and is proud of her business. You will not be disappointed in anything you order. I strongly recommend this place. You will be full and satisfied. So please give Mama’s J African restaurant a chance you won’t regret it. It’s a 10/10.
