Country Lane Bakery is the real deal. The people here are phenomenal — honest, hardworking, and they treat you like family the second you walk in. Their food is absolutely top-tier: fresh, homemade, and packed with flavor. You can tell they put genuine care into everything they do.

The service is just as good as the food. They’re fast, friendly, and down-to-earth, which is rare anymore. If you’re in Shipshewana and want true local quality, I highly recommend Country Lane Bakery. Easily one of the best spots in the area.

Great place to buy bakery goods. I bought their pumpkin bread and peanut butter pie around Christmas time for a get-well gift and the recipients expressed great appreciation for the peanut butter pie especially. They said it was the best peanut butter pie they’ve had. I have purchased numerous items from the original bakery and they have always been great. I especially like the mincemeat pie (seasonal around the holidays), pumpkin pie, red raspberry pie, and shoestring apple pie. And, their bread is great too.

Today cheered me up getting donuts. Thank you for delicious donuts y’all make. Really enjoyed the strawberry one and apple fritters really good today.
Nice and quiet there and people friendly and looked like they sold out a lot stuff but overall I enjoyed my time going back again. Peace, love and happiness to all your family and friends country lane bakery 2.0 staff. 🙂

Donuts are still lil doughy in middle. Please cook donuts more thoroughly and check products for mold,so customers don’t get sick. Please and thank you

Absolutely amazing! Simple ingredient, lists, no chemicals or preservatives. I had the pumpkin latte and the cinnamon creamstick which was to die for! I will also be purchasing several fresh baked loaves of bread as well.

Purchased here weekly. Donuts, cookies and bread. Have noticed within the last few months the donuts such as iced Carmel filled, iced maple filled etc have an issue with the icing. Looks great, taste is great. But it will not stay on top of the donut when you try and eat it. Have tried every way possible and it just falls off in hard chunks and makes a mess. Someone needs make a slight change in the icing recipe. I have had to stop buying due to this issue. Looking to try again soon.

So happy to see a second location open! Donuts were delicious (specifically the peanut butter filled). Lattes were delicious. Large flavor selection for coffees/lattes. They have a breakfast and lunch menu with great options. They have a nice selection of breads, cookies, pies, etc. The space is nice, large and clean. But I still love the original location!

Country bake shop is my favorite when we take a day trip to shipshawana but we got a late start and it was closed. Seeing that there was a country bake 2.0 I was excited to give them a try. Grabbed a package of peppermint chocolate cookies and a few other things. Tried a cookie and they seemed a little under baked but tasty. Went to get a cookie tonight (its been 3 days and they had mold on them. I live over an hour away so its not like I can jump in the car and return them. I was extremely disappointed to pay over $7 for cookies that molded.
I never in the last 5 years ever had an issue when I purchased them at the original country bake shop or Yoders meat market.
Beyond disappointed.

Well, I went in there for a salad and there was a cookie on top of my order. I said to them” I didn’t order a cookie “ I was trying to be so good They said” it’s free” Oh my…. I had no choice… I took a bite , and that was it. I am now addicted to sour cream cookies. My goodness, it calls me every week. That is by far the best sour cream cookie I have ever had! I have a shop on Harrison Street, way to close for cookie addictions
