I have been blessed to be friends with George and John for decades. Oscar’s is a gem. This place has the best of everything to do with comfort food, over the top hospitality and the added blessing of Patriots owning and operating for longer than I can remember. There is an old school counter, like you will find in every diner and also table options. You are always treated like a family member and greeted with a smile. Whether you are in the mood for an omelette or lovingly prepared grilled chicken over arugula salad (my favorite), your taste buds will thank you. All of the soups are homemade and the matzoh balls will make every grandmother jealous. The place is beyond spotless clean and appetizing in every way. Regardless of how busy they are at peak times you will always feel extremely welcome and appreciated. If there were six stars available, I would give seven. Please treat yourself to a special experience and tell them Sweet Lou sent you. God Bless America! God Bless Blue and Gold! Remember Everyone Deployed Everyday!

Great spot to hit for a Breakfast Sandwich in Millburn. The owner was super nice. Has a great conversation about the different tier of Taylor Ham. His Sandwich was fantastic. Earned 4 Egg Yas from Jerry the King on the Scary Good Eats App.. I would go back again.

We have driven by Oscar’s for 15+ years. Today was our first visit. We were wrong to not frequent this wonderful local deli. We enjoyed the cheeseburger deluxe and the Philadelphia steak, which is fresh slices of steak, your choice of cheese (I chose provolone) and peppers all on a fluffy bun. (And I mean fluffy). Just one word…scrumptious. Only one word of caution… the fries are long and thick, please see visuals, which means that you have to plan out the unit size of fries (meaning only eat 1/2 a fry at a time) in order to enjoy the correct sandwich to fry ratio throughout the meal. Like most normal people, I take a bite of a sandwich then have a fry. After half of the sandwich I feared I would run out of fries. Plan accordingly.

I picked this spot to get lunch. I ordered online and got the grilled eggplant wrap with fries. I picked up the food at 12:45 and it was only about $11. The parking in the area was terrible so had to park illegally. I walked in and they honored the free drink I got at check in. The server and manager were nice but very busy. I grabbed my food and left. When I dug in I was a litle disappointed. The fries were salty and the wrap wasn’t great. I ate it because I was hungry and it was filling but I won’t get this meal again.

Had the #57 Philly cheesesteak with fries. It was oh so good. The beef was tender. The pepper and onions were cooked right and the cheese was melted. It was not cheese whiz either. It was fresh but American cheese. The ambiance is a cross between a diner and a delicatessen and always clean. I also ordered their homemade cheesecake. It is to die for. It’s so creamy. Definitely this a a stop over when in Millburn or in the area. I’m a regular here. The owners and staff are always so friendly.

Ordered taylor ham and cheese and was ready very quickly. Counter man very pleasant. Bread very soft and fresh, plenty of taylor ham and not overcooked, American cheese more than good. Pleasant and somewhat old school dining area. Was busy. Will return to try other items.
