We had the pulled pork, lemon dita french fries, gumbo, mac and cheese and tried a taste of the brisket…it was all fabulous! Complex unexpected flavors, we will definitely be back! If you haven’t tried it before I highly recommend that you give it a try now! Racine needed a good barbecue place and this is it!

First time visitor, long time follower. Was finally in downtown Racine around lunch time and ordered some wings and a jerk chicken sandwich to go. Both were incredible. Wings are smoked and off the bone tender. Jerk chicken has the perfect amount of heat pairing well with the mango. Even the bun held up to the level of standard. Great food all around. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend.

What a great find… First time visiting dragon pit barbecue… With the warmest friendliest welcome… From the owner, Emerson… Who is so proud of the food product he serves… We both opted for the brisket… And incredible delicious choice… It was both lean and moist… And the flavor that was on the bark… I just ate it until I was done… I also got his fries with the special seasoning and it was incredible crispy and tender as you bid into them… My wife had a brisket as well save some for later tonight… And had some of the yummy delicious macaroni and cheese… You will love the atmosphere. It’s quiet and updated 18th century building location downtown Racine walkable to visit shops during this Christmas season… You will not be disappointed with your visit to this barbecue place. It’s worth the drive… If you’re googling barbecue and you’re in Indiana… Or Minnesota… Or Illinois… It’s worth the drive… Hope to come back soon.

Michelin star worthy, wow jaw on the floor amazing if ur hung over or just a super hungry breakfast lover. Hit the spot every taste bud kissed gently by the flavor not to much of a pork person so I said no but if u are I would assume it would be amazing. Hard off to the chefs and the creator of this amazing brisket burrito!!!

Food was delicious, nice and hot. Absolutely 1000/10 best BBQ ribs, Mac n cheese, fries, platter, burgers, and vegan Jollof rice. Very large portion sizes for the price. Definitely would recommend!!

This was our first time here. I got the brisket sandwich and my husband got the jerk chicken sandwich. We got the mac n cheese and lemon dita fries. Everything was amazing, the brisket was cooked perfectly and the flavor was excellent. The jerk chicken sandwich was spicy but full of flavor. The Mac and cheese was just right. The fries were tasty on their own but the dip made them even better. We will be back again!!!

Staff was super friendly and helpful when placing my order. Ribs were nicely seasoned and tender but the star of the show is the jollof rice. I got the vegan jollof. The mushrooms were meaty and the veggies nice and smoky only thing that could have made it better would have been a little more heat. My only regret is I hadn’t visited this place sooner. I will definitely be back!!!! Next time I’ll post a pic!!!

The menu has alot of unique flavor combos that sounded so good, it was hard to choose what to order. I’ll definitely be back! Our server was not the most attentive or welcoming, but she did her job well enough and didn’t leave us hanging. NOTICE: when they say the dish is spicy, it is an understatement… usually we like 5/5 level spice, but it was more like a 10/5… one of the dishes we ordered was sooo spicy it was too spicy to eat, and just sniffing it cleared my nasal passages. We didn’t even consider taking it home. Still had to pay for it though, so that was kind of a bummer. Usually if a meal isn’t as expected the wait staff offers to replace it with something else… not here. Mixed feelings on that, but Ai still look forward to exploring the menu more.

We stayed in Racine for a Friday night. This is a must go to if you have one night, don’t go anywhere else. The food was fire. Our table had biscuits and hush puppies to start, the butter was the best we’ve ever had. Mains we had chicken, pulled pork, and brisket. Again, all amazing. The best was absolutely saved for last, desert. The peach cobbler was incredible, topped with home made ice cream! The cherry on top was all of this was very reasonably priced.
