Tried Loro’s 2nd Houston location, and it was as good as the first!
• Smoked Salmon Dip
shishito salsa verde, yuzu, piri piri aioli, wonton chip
We loved this so much the last time that we had to get it again. What a creamy, flavorful dip that combined the smokiness of salmon with bright Asian-inspired ingredients. It was a complex and well-balanced flavor profile.
My wife got the new special – Bangkok Spicy Fried Chicken Bowl – featuring nam tok, hot honey, coconut-scented rice, papaya salad, and piri piri aioli. Delicious!
I got the Loro Cheeseburger – 1/2 lb. burger, red onion-brisket jam, muenster cheese, lettuce, yuzu 1000 island. Smokey, great grind, definitely brisket in it, the yuzu 1000 island was delightful.
I got a side of Crispy Potatoes – miso mustard, yuzu kosho aioli, toasted white sesame.
The crispy potatoes were addictive! Star of the show for the sides, crunchy, deep-fried with a fluffy, creamy interior. The Asian-inspired dipping sauce provided a savory, umami-rich complement.
Cocktails round one:
Lychee Martini – Amsterdam vodka, sake, elderflower
Frozen Gin & Tonic – New Amsterdam Gin, lime, Seagram’s
Round two:
Flight of Boozy Slushees to share :
Vietnamese Coffee – Jim Beam bourbon, Cafe du Monde, condensed milk
Killer Colada – Sailor Jerry’s Spiced rum, pineapple-coconut, horchata.

Visited Loro Asian Smokehouse while in Houston for happy hour. The atmosphere was patio-friendly with a very casual, laid-back vibe, and the service was friendly and efficient. We tried the smash burger — an incredible value at just $5 — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything else we sampled was enjoyable as well and delivered solid quality for the price. Overall, a great local spot with good energy, excellent happy hour value, and definitely worth a return visit. Saluti

Fantastic fusion food and fantastic service from all of the staff. I came back the next day and then went to the one in Dallas when I got back home. So I’ve had Loro 3 days in a row and tried different food each time. It’s been great each visit.

First time visiting Loro, the staff was very friendly and welcoming upon entering. Ordered the brisket chicken karaage, and sesame noodles and a fountain drink. Not sure but the drinks had a funny aftertaste even the juices next to the fountain drinks- possibly the water source? Anyways I kind of put that to the side as I was really interested in seeing how this place does bbq. Well they exceeded my expectations and really fuse Asian and Texas bbq well. As a bbq fan I have to give them credit! The chicken karaage was perfectly crispy and the sauce was great too. The only downside was when I tried the noodles they were served cold. As a cook front just rolled in I was looking forward to some warm noodles. I asked if they could just warm them in a microwave but was informed they don’t have a microwave since all food is good fresh. But they offered me a replacement side and I went with the potatoes. They were actually served piping hot fresh out the fryer and very crispy. I actually like my potatoes fried a lil harder and when I saw some hit that peak crispiness I knew this place was 5 stars in my book. They did pack up the noodles for me to go to try when I can warm them up. Will return again soon. Thanks again

I’ll make this quick. Had the brisket, ribs, and the orange chicken style appetizer. Brisket was basically ham. Thinly sliced with no real substance. Ribs were cooked well with a decent smokey flavor. Chicken app was also decent and filling. Nothing stood out. It seemed like they were trying to hard to create “fusion”. I also had the ginger mule which was God awful. Couldn’t even finish it. Came from a mix and wasnt in a tin. Just a horrible drink. Definitely not a spot for me.

Amazing experience visiting here definitely a must visit for anyone in the area. What stood out most was how much they truly care about their customers, along with the outstanding quality of the food. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I would absolutely recommend coming here to eat and will be returning again.

First time at Loros. I had a free appetizer and it was happy hour to $5 drinks. My spicy ramen with pork was very good. I was going to go for the pork rice bowl but ended up getting the ramen instead.
Chips and sauce was good. Edamame was good. Potatoes were very good.

Had a phenomenal experience. We sat at the bar and were treated to exceptional service from Katie. She’s very personable and professional and took the time to answer all of our many questions about the menu. The chicken sandwich is a must. It was so crunchy and Smoky and had a great mix of flavors with the other sandwich fixins. We also got the smokehouse sampler and while I wish the brisket was at a higher level the rest of the plate was phenomenal. Their take on blue cheese dressing for the wings is so unique and delicious. Highly recommend this place and if Katie’s working the bar don’t miss out on her exceptional service

I drive by this spot all the time, and I was just waiting for any reason to try it
The exterior is trendy and modern with a slight Asian flare. It shares a building with a yoga studio, and there is plenty of parking in their back shared parking lot
The patio is inviting, and if it wasn’t a Texas summer night I probably would have sat there. The interior is nicely decorated. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t intimately lit, but there was plenty of natural light, but not at all blinding or distracting
The menu offers a variety of Asian cuisines and plenty of “American” dishes with an Asian twist (fusion). I was pleasantly surprised that their fusion chips and queso were delicious. I wish they offered just a few more chips, but I understand also that the portions and plating wouldn’t make as much sense. The sweet corn was very tasty. And the pulled pork sandwich was just the right balance of bbq pulled pork and Asian spices/sauce
You won’t be given a sever. Someone will mostly likely greet you at the door, but it’s a seat yourself establishment. You can find menus across from the bar, and you walk up to the bar to order (get a number system). Everyone I interacted with was both friendly, helpful, and professional
Some tips:
If you can’t find a parking spot in the parking lot there is plenty of street parking nearby. Consider ordering a handful of dishes and sides to share. They have live music on Thursdays (6-8pm). They also have a happy hour menu on weekdays from 2-6pm. Consider moseying down the street towards rice village for a night cap, ice cream, or some shopping
Cheers!!
