Cheese Box – Glasgow Discover old Tardis style police box turned into a Cheese Box. Glasgow’s go-to cafe for coffee lovers and cheese enthusiasts; located in the heart of Glasgow. Our mission is to provide people with cheesy chat, cheesy jokes and cheesy food, in that order exactly. As we say: the cheesier, the better. Our menu features Swiss inspired raclette cheese sandwiches on toasted sourdough bread served straight from the wheel and Polish style cheesy baguettes aka zapiekanka, and a selection of high quality coffees & tea’s.

The best cheese sandwiches in Glasgow. The cheese was browned and caramelised to perfection and paired with the perfect toast. We tried the cheese sandwich and the cheese and meat sandwich we also had with gherkins and sriracha and honey sauce. Then we had the best cheese cake we’ve ever had. After we left all my daughter could say was cheese cake with a big smile and asked if we could get one sent to the Isle of Lewis for her birthday. The food is the gold standard and we’ll be craving it until we can next visit. We were comfy sitting at the table with the overhead heater in January. We got to see how they set up for the day it’s amazing how they do it all from an old police box it really is a TARDIS. Hearing how they came up with the business and got the venue off gumtree was brilliant. The guys are so lovely, caring and everything is so clean and hygienic.

I visited here on a drizzly Glasgow day for lunch. If you’ve not been before and love cheese, this is definitely worth a visit, a true gem. Robert walked us through the menu with his friendly and upbeat attitude – instantly making us feel extremely welcome and equipped us with information to make our decision.
He made sure we were comfortable at the little table outside the Tardis box, asking how the food tastes and if we needed anything else. He made us two lovely coffees with oat milk – he says we were lucky as they used to not stock it. We were glad. Finally to top off already wonderful service, Rob let us try cheesecakes that he and his business partner made at home – it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for being kind and a friendly face in Glasgow. We’ll be back!

Went there and honestly had such a good time! The cheesy potato wedges were super moreish – like, the kind you just can’t stop picking at. Then I tried the soft cheesecake and wow… so creamy and smooth, total comfort dessert. Overall, just a really nice spot to relax and enjoy good food. Definitely coming back!

Cheesebox is an absolute must visit!! The food is 5* and somehow the customer service is even better! The raclette sandwich with salami is amazing, and you HAVE to try the cheesy baguette with the mushrooms and homemade garlic sauce I couldn’t recommend enough I’m already planning my next visit!!! This is NOT to be missed!!!

Wow, this place did not disappoint!!! Food is amazing, my daughter and I had the potato and meat raclette and some cheesecake, it was all chefs kiss!! We also had the opportunity to watch it get set up and see how it works, it was fun to watch the cheese bubble! We were lucky enough to meet both of the people that work there, Bejoy (apologies if spelling is wrong) was so lovely and chatted away! Now, the hot chocolate!!!!!! I don’t even know how to put in to words how amazing this was!!! Creamy, cloudy, chocolatey goodness!!! It actually tastes like melted chocolate! Please go, you will not be disappointed!

The raclette is a must try! Just look at that crispy French Alpine bubbly cheese getting scraped onto that bread! Nothing else like I’ve had in Glasgow before. The potatoes were just as good, crispy cheesy goodness.
A zapienka is a polish opened faced baguette and I got the cheesato with the home made garlic mayo and it was like a margarita pizza. They have a mix of Gouda, Mozarrella, and cheddar on them compared to the raclette.
The sauce on the dragons breath – the pepperoni and jalapeños one – was gochujang mayo and it went so well with it.
The dessert was the burnt basque cheesecake and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try it. It had a beautiful caramelised jacket with a creamy interior. Superb.

Wondering round Glasgow post Christmas, and places were closed or had no availability…., but our search brought us to Cheese Box and we are so glad it did!!! We tried several of the menus items, savory, sweet and hot chocolate and everything was wonderful! Having seen the pictures, I wondered if it would be too heavy, but it was tasty and surprisingly light. The family said it may have been the best hot chocolate they had had. The cheesecake was also an excellent. They have a covered table beside the box which we used. It does take time for the food to come, so if you don’t want to sit and wait, I would place an order and collect it. But, we ordered and sat and waited and chatted to the owner – see him giving the thumbs up from the box in the photo! Great to hear that their two years of business have been successful and we hope it continues so we can enjoy it again on a future visit!!!

First time visiting Cheesebex, went for the raclette and the zapiekanka. Both were amazing!! Rob treated us to some of the ragu & a piece of the cheesecake to try and both were delicious. Will defo visit again when down from Thurso.
