Vegans!!!! -the most delicious zucchini bread I have ever had. Full espresso bar with oat milk option. Delicious roast. Non Vegans- everyone enjoyed their bread offerings and treats (other items not vegan). Must try! Super knowledgeable and friendly staff!

I picked up 2 loaves of the Bacon, Parmesan bread as gifts at the Travelers Rest Farmers Market. It looked great but I didn’t get to try it. The folks who got the bread could not stop talking about how good it was. So…..the next Saturday, I went back specifically for the same bread and picked up two more loaves. This time, I enjoyed it for breakfast with garden ripe tomatoes and sunny side up eggs. Now I know what the fuss was all about! Simply a delicious, hearty bread, made with love and purpose.
Thank you Rise Bakery.
I’ll be back!

Rise Bakery is an absolute gem in Greenville and a must-visit for anyone who truly appreciates quality baked goods. From the moment you walk in, you can immediately tell that everything is made with care, passion, and incredible attention to detail.

Their pastries and breads are exceptional. You can taste the difference — everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The texture, the balance of flavors, and the overall quality reflect true craftsmanship. It’s clear that Rise Bakery takes pride in doing things the right way, and it shows in every bite.

The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and inspiring. It’s the kind of place where you want to slow down, enjoy your coffee, and savor your pastry. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do, which makes the entire experience even better.

What stands out the most is the consistency and authenticity. Rise Bakery is not just following trends — they are honoring the art of baking and creating products that feel thoughtful and intentional.

If you are in Greenville, Rise Bakery is absolutely worth the visit. It’s a beautiful example of what a true bakery should be. Highly recommend to anyone who loves fresh, high-quality baked goods.

Rise Bakery is my favorite spot in Greenville/West Village. Their food is next level, and seating by the window is hard to beat…there’s something about having a coffee, enjoying a treat, and watching life go by outside that just makes everything slow down in the best way. You can find me here at least once a week… and trust me, I have to fight hard not to make it more often.

We visited this outstanding bakery that offers a wonderful selection of sweet and savory items. We decided to order a few treats to go and enjoy outside in the beautiful morning weather.

The cardamom bun was absolutely amazing—soft, sweet, and with just a hint of spice. The morning bun had a delightful texture, combining softness with crunchy bits that added a nice contrast. The sourdough chocolate chip cookie was unique; it had that characteristic tanginess while still being sweet enough to remind you it was a chocolate chip cookie.

Lastly, we tried the apple pie croissant, which was our least favorite. Unfortunately, the croissant itself felt a bit bland compared to the others.

The staff was friendly, and the bakery offered a few cozy seats inside for those who prefer to stay. Otherwise, they packaged everything beautifully for us to enjoy elsewhere. Overall, a lovely experience!

I had an amazing experience today at Rise. I went in predominantly for the cardamom bun (which is fantastic) because I am a cardamom f i e n d and really enjoyed this particular pastry in the past. Unfortunately, it is currently out of rotation and the other cardamom pastry they had (an orange cardamom pastry?) wasn’t available for sale.

I ended up ordering some other assorted items (egg and cheese sandwich, a pumpkin spice bun, chocolate crossaint, and the fig & cheese sandwich). As I was waiting for the final item in my owner, the amazingly kind staff member who took my order (Karina) offered me a cardamom latte. Another very nice young lady made this drink and gave it to me (I wish I got her name too to thank her here!). It was delicious.

Thank you for making my day! I will be back in 6 weeks on the dot when the cardamom bun returns. Shoutout to Karina & the crew! You’re very much appreciated!

Highly recommend that anyone reading this review check out Rise for some delicious pastries and drinks.

Such a cute lively bakery!! The employees are so kind and helpful and everything I’ve tried has been amazing (chocolate chip cookies, cardamom bun – my personal favorite, country loaf, cinnamon raisin bread). The house-made pumpkin syrup in the drip coffee was DELICIOUS, better than other pumpkin syrups from any chain I’ve tried.

On a spur of the moment venture into the villages to get pottery next door, we stopped in at Rise Bakery. My wife was super excited to get amazing artisan bread at very reasonable prices. The vibe is laid back and welcoming. I’m eager to come back in a morning sometime and see things at their peak.

I love this place so much. Their sourdough country loaf is now a staple in my house, and I can never resist their pastries when I visit. My favorites are their morning buns, everything danish and cardamom buns. You really can’t go wrong though! They also serve local coffee and are always so pleasant to interact with. You are seriously missing out if you don’t pay them a visit!

Seriously, I cannot WAIT to go back. Such a cute little bakery with nice people, willing to answer questions or give you time to peruse and choose what you want. And the food. THE FOOD! I got a Gorgonzola cheese, fig, and ham danish and I have been thinking about it for the past week. I’m not kidding. I am trying to find an excuse to go back so I can buy MORE things and take a few loaves home with me. Also, really good coffee. I can’t say anything bad about my experience except that it ended.
