Best restaurant of San Cristobal! Must visit if you like traditional Mexican food in an amazing atmosphere. The chef cooks his most favorite dishes, I recommend to try all of them, it are small dishes and good to share. For sure try the special desert!

By far the best food experience we have had in Mexico. Truely a hidden gem. Comal is a cosy restaurant where the chef cooks everything by himself. The food is fresh, the beans are perfect (after cooking for 12 hours), and the meat just melts away. We also had amazing horchata and Tescalate. The chef also speaks perfect english and is sure to inspire you with his love for food.
The prices should be at least double as high for the quality you are getting.

You have not tried real tasty Mexican food until you come here. The dishes are done from the heart and it shows. Don’t expect a huge menu, it depends on what’s available that day. We had sopes, bean soup and the best guacamole. The owner is very personable and welcoming. I just wish I had a bigger stomach!

5 stars is an understatement! The food here is next level and insane value for money !! The best we’ve had in Mexico and we’ve been travelling all over Mexico for 3 months. We ordered the bean soup, the veggie tetela, veggie sopes, the original platanito for dessert and tescalate for a drink and everything was so flavoursome and cooked with love. The chef and staff are super friendly too! Highly recommend this place!
