I had to intentionally to resolve it nor time to reorder.
I did ate the plate, but by far it was worst sliced meat I’ve been served.
Shame on cooks and waitress!
$20 plate! ($16+tax+$1 tip since it’s pretty much self service).
It is everything you crave without any nonsense.
Highly recommend authentic food at a budget-friendly price..
From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. Monica, the owner, was incredibly personable and even brought us samples of the pastrami and corned beef to try. Both were hands-down the best I’ve ever had: perfectly seasoned, unbelievably tender, and trimmed beautifully with no excess fat.
The food was outstanding, but what really made the experience special was the atmosphere. The two employees working alongside Monica reflected the same kindness, professionalism, and pride in what they do. You can feel that this place is run with care and heart.
If you’re anywhere near Morristown, do not miss this spot. And if you’re visiting like we were, consider this your sign — go. You won’t regret it.
Santiago was super hospitable and welcoming.
Definitely check this place out
I truly felt uncomfortable and on top of that I spent nearly $55 on two sandwiches that neither of us were able to actually enjoy. It was especially disappointing for the almost $30 pastrami sandwich with “upgraded meat quality.”
**ORIGINAL: I have been here twice: both times I ordered the same thing. The first time was dine in and the second time was take out because of our poor experience the first time. Both times I’ve experienced issues with the food and the service. My first time here I sat inside and ordered to stay I tipped almost 23% on my order which was a hot pastrami sandwich piled high ( an upgrade that costs $10 which means it’s 1 lb of pastrami instead of usual portion) plus the meat “quality” upgrade option for $2.99 (big rip off) and their turkey sandwich. They ask if you’d like to upgrade to their premium meat quality option for additional $2.99 so I opted for it both times I have dined here. Both times I was delivered very gristly and fatty meat with many bites throughout being inedible. I thought it was just a fluke the first time hence coming back and doing take out however imagine my frustration when getting home and realizing I’ve received the same if not worse quality sandwich. On both occasions they messed up the turkey sandwich in my order and included ingredients I asked them to leave off and left off others that I didn’t ask them to omit that I was expecting on the sandwich. I really wanted to like this place since it’s closer to me than Harold’s in Edison NJ. To top it off while I’m waiting for my to go order the girl who rang me up is complaining to her manager that I tipped them but didn’t tip them 20% or more on a TO GO order. It made me uncomfortable and upset that I left a tip on a to go order at all for them. I’ve worked in the industry for a long time and I’ve rarely ever gotten tipped on to go orders, I also never expected people to tip on to go orders. I have only expected it during special circumstances like during the Covid shut down for example. The manager could have taken that opportunity to offer her some humbling advice instead of making the customer even more uncomfortable by laughing off her complaining to him about it in front of customers. I will not be back and I would definitely not recommend this to friends or family members or co workers etc. I’m giving them two stars for the nice decor and clean seating inside. If it wasn’t for that they’d get only one star from me.
The food was outstanding. We had chicken noodle and split pea soups, as well as the #5 turkey sandwiches. All were very good, and the portion sizes were just right (soups were actually very generous portions)
Prices were very reasonable.
We will be back.
