This is a great place to get a bite to eat inside the Henry Ford Museum. The menu is limited, but the service is quick and the prices are reasonable. For two people we had a quality lunch for under $25. I highly recommend the chicken salad sandwich. There are also kids menu options. And the setting is hard to beat- the restored dining car is beautiful.

I tried the Lunch Special, the Chicken Salad Sandwich, Chicken Noodle Soup, Chips and soda. The sandwich and chips were good. The soup was a little bland. The Orange Soda is a Michigan Brand called Faygo and it had a smooth taste to it.

The other person in my party had the Pastrami Sandwich. He enjoyed and was surprised by how much meat was in it.

Pretty good meal for museum food.

Great little diner with a fun atmosphere. I thought the portion sizes were realy good for the price. Chicken salad was very fresh and high quality. My whole party enjoyed the food. The service was excellent. I loved sitting in the middle of the museum and enjoying the Henry Ford. It was very relaxing and pleasant.

Went to the museum to see the hockey display. It been a few years since we have been here. Changed some things around. They have made the little diner behind the McDonald’s sign into a working dinner. They only have a few things to choose from. My nephew enjoyed the soup of the day. I had the sloppy joes but the bun was too stale to eat but I eat the sloppy joe with the chips. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are booths inside and tables on the outside

Diner located inside the Henry Ford museum. Very cool opportunity inside the 1946’s diner. Small menu, bread was not fresh, food was expensive and a small portion. Staff was friendly at least.

An awesome 1940s style diner awaits you at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, MI! This diner is located inside The Henry Ford Museum so in order to dine there I believe you have to purchase a ticket to the museum. Parking at The Henry Ford is easy and with lots of parking options available. The diner itself is easy enough to find within the museum, but there is staff on hand to help if you get lost or turned around. Great experience, maybe a bit on the pricey side but it’s inside the museum, you get what you pay for. Food is hot, fresh and well prepared with several options available! Come try this diner today!

Food was pretty generic, although they also don’t gouge you nearly as much as they could. The chicken salad was pretty good, ham and cheese kind of disappointing, the cucumber sandwich pretty good… but the surprise favorite was the fluffernutter. Who knew marshmallow fluff and peanut butter would make for such a delicious sandwich?!

Take a step back to 1949 and enjoy a simple
lunch in a perfectly preserved diner car from the hay day of poodle skirts and real hot rods.
They serve a simple lunch menu and while they don’t match the prices of the era (25 cent cheeseburgers anyone)it is relatively inexpensive and delicious. A must see in one of the country’s premiere museums.

Such a fun experience! Food was tasty. Chicken salad was on the savory side, and the corn beef was great too. Note: the table side juke boxes do not work, but the diner has era appropriate music playing inside.
