The sushi was very fresh and tasted excellent. The price-performance ratio is definitely fair. The restaurant is quite small with only a few seats, so you might have to wait a bit. However, the sushi is freshly prepared on-site, which really adds to the quality. Overall, a great spot for sushi lovers!

Me and my partner are on the hunt for the best sushi in town and this place holds up well. I also highly recommend to try out rice in tofu taschen, we didn’t really know what we ordered but it was amazing. Fish was fresh, rice tasted very good, but we didn’t like maki. We were there only one time so maybe we got unlucky. The place is really small and doesn’t have toilet or a lot of sitting options so definitely would recommend getting take away. They also have free unlimited tea which is good.

Authentic place with moderate price level. The quality / price ratio is sheer unbeatable!
Japanese natives living in Vienna prefer this place, also for take away, for instance late famous conductor Seiji Ozawa regularly came here when he still lived and worked in Vienna at the „Theater an der Wien“ opera.

Small, cute and great sushi.
If you are lucky you can sit, just 10 spots to eat.

Two years ago it was passable, but this time I found the staff had changed. If the food were decent enough, I might tolerate such appalling service. The taste was a disaster – the salmon sashimi was all tail, and I watched the chef deliberately selecting the tails to slice. The rice wasn’t heated properly either, leaving the fish scalding hot and utterly revolting to eat. How on earth did this place rack up such glowing reviews?

Very good sushi and sashimi. The best sashimi I have had in Vienna even! The shop is rather small so it’s not suitable for big groups (or families with young kids with strollers).

The fish selection is not big but everything we ordered was super fresh and tasty. Sometimes simple is best! Best sushi so far in Vienna.
The shop closes quite early in the evening but it’s worth it to make the time. There’s no toilet but you can use the facility at Naschmarkt across the street.

Very small place. No reservations possible. Very good sushi and sashimi! They brew a big pot of tea which you can have for free. It’s for people who want to enjoy some good sushi in a simple small place. I’d recommend it to sushi lovers.

Definitely the best sushi I’ve tried in Europe. Good, fresh and authentic for a good price. The place is small but with a nice atmosphere, Kojiro 2 has more tables and is just around the corner, with the same amazing quality.
