Great family owned donut shop. Not fancy, but like a little cute old donut shop. It smells clean and yummu like a bakery inside and I point that out because some donut shops smell like old cooking oil or musty due to lack of air circulation.
This is my second visit. The cake donut with crumbles was amazing. Not too sweet and very moist, reminded me of the donuts I had in Europe. The maple glazed was fresh, hot and sweet if you like krispy kreme sweet level. I also had the Ham Cheese Jalepeno Croissant, my favorite compared to every other place. Cheese is quality white cheddar that is gooey, melty. Croissant was fluffy crispy and a good amount of ham. They alway give you a free mini croissant. I wish this pkace was closer, i would stop by every week.

Great donuts and service! Glad I finally tried it out months ago, wish I would have tried it out in 2023, instead of giving my business to yum yum donuts. Went again today (Sunday morning) for our 5th time, the donuts and croissants here are great! We keep reordering their tiger tails and it is fresh and tasty every single time. Will definitely repeat! Thank you Munchkin’s Donuts!

The donut, pastries, croissant are excellent here. The best is the amount of free pastries one get when ordering a dozen. They have great pastries and give their best stuff too. I have been a fan since. One can order in advance before they close by 5pm.

I’m not a local, I was just visiting. I wanted a coffee and a croissant and saw this place. I’m now legitimately sad that I can’t go here everyday. The woman working the counter was amazing. She made me a fresh pot of coffee and treated me like a regular. She even put an extra croissant into the bag. The next time I’m in Covina, I am 100% visiting this place again. It’s everything a good doughnut shop should be. 11/10 would recommend.

This is the best donut shop ever. The couple that own and run it are the best. Their donuts are always fresh and they go above and beyond in customer service. They are so welcoming. Very well liked in our community. Oh and it’s an easy walk from home. Lol.

List for ham and cheese croissant, so I wanted to see if it’s up to par. Went there in the mid afternoon and they still have fresh, just out of the oven, ham and cheese croissant. It was good but it’s not crispy on the outside and or buttery as a croissant supposed to be. They also have plain and sugar croissants by individual or by the dozen. Again, it’s not buttery or fluffy as it supposed to be. The service was fantastic, and pretty basic donut shop. Order and pay at the counter.

Munchkins in Covina is awesome!! I can see why this family owned small biz is such a big hit. It was nice to hang out and snack on their croissants, and the owners/managers were so sweet to all the kiddos running around.
I particularly enjoyed their ham and cheese, ham, cheese & jalapeño croissants, and the glazed donut. The strawberry cream cheese croissant and cake donuts were also yummy. I’m looking forward to coming back to try more things!

What a sweet mom and pop owned shop ! You guys have to stop by ! There’s always a rush of people in at once but the line moves quickly . The owners are so nice and they always throw in a free croissant when you order some ! It’s so fresh and tastes great !!! Definitely have to stop by!

So this place lives up to the hype! Came a little late in the day (12:45) and the options looked limited so I asked the owner what she recommended. Walked away with the ham, cheese and jalapeño croissant, a large plain croissant, a wheat croissant (mainly because they didn’t have anymore plain, but happy to try), an apple turnover, cinnamon twist, strawberry “danish” and a bunch of little freebies. Total was about $16.50 which I rounded up to $20.00. Basically got my lunch with the ham and jalapeño which is huge, breakfast and a few desserts with plenty of smaller croissants to share for $20.00!!!!! What a steal!!!!
As others have said, very friendly staff and could tell she was happy to make recommendations. She even pulled what she could fresh out of the over, which was cool and amazing as the smell of fresh baked goods filled the store with an amazing mouth watering aroma!
So happy to have tried Munchkin’s as recommended by Yelp as the best croissant in the country. I don’t eat a lot of croissants, but this one is definitely the best I’ve had and only a short drive for me which is pretty cool.

A family owned business with a true heart for their customers with baked goods! Everything they have is delicious, but what sets the apart from all donut shops are their ham & cheese croissants! You will not find anything close to these anywhere. If you like spicy try the ham & cheese croissants with jalapeño. All donuts are always fresh! Don’t forget to grab a cup of coffee there blend is better than any Starbucks!
