5/21/2021 I’m not a sweet pastry person. I can pass on donuts, claws, fritters, and that kind of thing. However, I saw many reviews on how good their Long Johns were so I got there at 8am on a Friday to try their famed pastry. Aaaah, boo! They were already sold out. So instead, I got two Chocolate Eclairs, two Chantilly Eclairs, and a Blueberry Scone. If you charge, they add a surcharge so I paid cash. It came out to about $16. I didn’t get to eat the eclairs until the next day and boy, they were sooo good! One day later and still ono! The custard inside is creamy and not too sweet and the pastry is fluffy and crispy, as opposed to soggy or dry. There’s also a good ratio of custard to pastry. It’s stuffed! I understand why they’re so popular! I didn’t eat the Blueberry Scone yet but I’m sure it’s good too! I wish I lived closer so I could go more often.

People are nice enough however I found the custard filled eclairs and other puffy pastries too sweet for my liking. Note, I am used to eating European (French/German/Swiss) and Australian pastries (which also aren’t as good as the European ones) so if you’re used to sweet American food you might like these a lot more than I did.

Great butter rolls and will be back to try the yeast donuts and long johns (supposed to be famous). Also want to try the French apple (extra crunchy crumb topping) there vs the dutch apple sold everywhere else.

Good pastries!! Kinda pricey though. But worth the price. The chocolate eclair’s were really good. The custard filling reminds me of this other pastry place called Bearded Papa’s.

This place has a very cozy feel to it. A lot of options from beverages, snacks, baked pastries, and cakes.  The parking to this place is very limited to be prepared to wait for a spot or park in a spot that is not actually a parking spot.  Service is okay, staff can seem a bit grumpy but nothing outrageously bad.  The business is a mix of convenience store and bake shop.

Ordered two glazed donuts, a butter horn and a long John custard filled. They were all excellent but the butter horn was my favorite. Need a cup of black coffee to go with it.

My favorite bakery on Oahu. Their turnovers are super yummy. Eclairs are tasty too! Drive from the Leeward side to get my fix.

Love aunty kine workers. Older ladies who are so funny, always trying to get you to buy more than you could possible eat while having a mischievous smile on there face. My favorite is the long johns that we always get if they are available.
