Came in for brunch on a Saturday morning soon after they opened. When we got there it was dead, but by the time we left, the place was hopping and very lively!
This is a BEAUTIFUL venue, with large chandeliers and modern, somewhat artsy furniture throughout. The brunch menu is a combo of their typical lunch menu plus a brunch menu, so there’s plenty to choose from. Our server was really good and did a nice job keeping an eye on us.
Everything we tried was excellent and they provided large portions too! The Reuben Egg Rolls were very tasty and the corned beef in there was excellent. The dipping sauce really topped these off perfectly too. I got their birria grilled cheese sandwich and WOW – that was a LOT of food! It was a huge sandwich with an amazing consommé which was flavorful and had fresh cilantro in it – great for dipping!
We’ve been to Black Sheep several times and honestly, this place was so much better (yes, I know they’re the same ownership, but both Black Sheep and Proof have been much better than my recent visits to Villagio in Clifton too, so it’s possible that they seem to focus on one project more than another). Overall we really enjoyed this visit and most definitely look forward to returning for dinner to try more.

We had a wonderful experience here! We came with a rather large group of friends, and our waitress was incredibly attentive and on top of everything, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious — everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You could tell a lot of care went into each dish, and everyone at the table was impressed with their meal. We’ll definitely be back

Went to Proof on 28DEC25 for an Anniversary Dinner with my Husband. We had a reservation and got to sit in a beautiful, intimate little booth with a great view of the entire room.
Our server Kenny was amazing from the first second we sat down to the last. He was very attentive and it was nice getting to talk with him briefly about his year.
The food was everything and Proof is now a top 10 restaurant on our list. We had the Parmesan Monkey Bread and Tomato & Smoked Gouda Bisque as apps. Then Shepherd’s Pie and Short Smoked Salmon as our mains. Literally everything was a 10/10 ESPECIALLY the Bisque! The Fall Spritz and Pear-Y Good cocktails were perfectly made and went well with our food.
For our anniversary the staff gave us a cute little card and a desert (red velvet cake) on the house. Very sweet and overall beautiful experience. We aren’t from the area but we WILL be back.

Proof is a must experience restaurant. The ambience is so quaint, the food is Amazing and the service is very attentive. Their apps can be a meal themselves with a lot of variety. We shared those among the table. The cocktail menu has a lot of choices from a whiskey flight (Mularkey’s best) and several other delicious combinations. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the brussel sprouts just right crispness. Truly a dining experience that checks all the boxes.

Prediction – expansion in 2 years. Someone didn’t think this through. The only way will be UP! Which will be okay too. The restaurant is charming and the seating is cozy but not enough seating, but ok for now. The food is delicious, the drinks are tasty and the ambience is welcoming. The staff are pleasant, kind and personable. You feel like … you want to come back 🙂 We had a reservation across the way and decided to stop in for a quick drink and appetizer. Good decision. We had the pesto chicken flat bread – YUM and I started my evening with the Peach Cinnamon Smash – Delish and hubby refreshed his palate with the Bee Sting – SUPER Delish! We’ll be back … see Saturday for Valentine’s Day!

Tonight my wife and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Proof in Manassas. The venue was smaller than expected inside, but made for a cozy atmosphere. Our waiter recommended the drunken meatloaf. The sauce was a little sweet for me, but paired well with the savory flavors in the meat and gravy. Also found surprising flavor from the small pockets of cheese in the meatloaf. The staff signed a card for us and we also received a complimentary red velvet dessert.

We had a great time at proof. As soon as we were sat, we were greeted by our great server Calvin. This man remembered our names, our preferences, and our entire order. At proof, we expected to have a nice meal, but Calvin transformed it into something more personal and a very memorable experience. We ended up having the thank you very much burger, the burrata canneloni, and the birria quesadilla bites. Each dish and cocktail was superb. My husband and I had our birthday dinner here and we can’t wait to go back! The dining area is dimly lit and decorated with a sophisticated touch, perfect for a date night. Between music and patrons talking, it was somewhat loud but I like that so you don’t feel like everyone will hear your conversation!
The hostess was inviting and brought us to our table. Our waitress was quick and friendly. We both got appetizers to start and some mocktails – I love that they have non-alcoholic beverages! My husband got the Peach Paradise drink and I chose the Blueberry Sunrise. They were excellent! He ordered the Richmond Sliders for his app and we shared the Fries Sampler. The fries were outstanding! The curry ketchup was so addictive.
For entrees, my husband went with the Charleston Perlau and I got the Burrata Cannelloni. The portions are perfect – just big enough but not intimidating. My cannelloni was a tad bit salty but not salty enough that I didn’t finish it!
We ordered a dessert (Mocha Pot de Crème Cheesecake) but were surprised when our waitress brought out 2 desserts! They gave us a Red Velvet dessert with a candle for our birthdays 🙂
The food is absolutely excellent, the service wonderful, the pricing super reasonable, and the atmosphere incredible. We both agreed we’d be back soon to try out all the other menu items that we debated getting. What a great new addition to our local date spots!

We had a wonderful experience dining here. Our server, Kenneth (who goes by Kenny), was excellent, and his recommendations were spot on. We tried the pork belly pops, smothered chicken, drunken meatloaf, and a burger. The meatloaf was my favorite—it was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I paired it with a spiced apple margarita, which complemented the meal beautifully.
My husband ordered the “she soup,” and it was absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was well prepared, and the service made the evening even better. Highly recommend this spot
