One of the best New Mexican meals I have had in a long time. The atmosphere was quaint, the service was fantastic and the food knocked out socks off. So much flavor wrapped up in every bite. The couple that runs this place could not be more welcoming and kind. If you’re in the Salt Lake area and are looking for a good New Mexican meal, Salazar’s Cafe is THE place to go.

Stopped in for lunch today and was impressed with both the food and service. Had a pork tamale and beef enchilada and both were fantastic. Came with rice and whole pinto beans which I prefer over the mashed refried beans and all were delicious. The salsa was also some of the best I’ve had locally. Highly recommend giving this little family run place a chance if you haven’t been here before as you won’t regret it one bit.

This place is excellent! The food has such great flavor. I had the beef enchilada and a jalapeño and cheese tamale with rice and beans. The flavor was rich with just the right amount of heat. I can’t wait to go back and get the chile verde.

I NEVER leave reviews but I had to for this place. The most amazing food I’ve had possibly ever. I used to go to la Frontera but I can honestly say never again. That’s no knock on la Frontera but this place is just so good, so fresh, amazingly friendly staff. And I almost forgot, very reasonable prices. A killer meal for 1 out the door with a 25% tip was $22.

I went in today for a to go lunch! I got a smothered burrito and enchilada w a Mexican Coke! It was so delicious . I am sad I live further away or else I would be here once a week! The owner is super sweet! I hope to be back soon! Visit this cute little Cafe if you get a chance!

Stopped in for dinner with my wife tonight. It was our first time here. We moved in just down the street and wanted to give it a try. The food was fantastic! I could have been perfectly happy with just a plate of the beans and rice it was so good. So fun to meet Ida and hear her story! We will definitely be back!

Went for lunch today with fellow coworkers and we were all pleasantly surprised! Seriously, the BEST refried beans around!! Enchiladas were so good. Ida is amazing and the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable! This is a must to try, will be back!
