The pizza was well made and the dough had a great chew. Very New York style pizza. The twisted garlic bread was made with same dough and I really enjoyed them. The pizza was good. Not salty or sweet, but also nothing special. I also ordered wings and got me they were too breaded and not crispy enough. Although it may have been from sitting in the styrofoam container. Overall I would order from here again.

I don’t leave reviews. That’s not my thing. But when I’m this upset about pizza, I feel like I need to say something. I was getting alone time at home while my family was at a birthday party. I thought it would be a great time to try Lorenzo’s for the family while being lucky enough to order a speciality pizza only I would like.
I ordered a small margherita pizza and small salad. Salad was normal. That’s not what I’m writing about.
With my first bite and a few chews of the pizza, my mouth started to notice something was spicy. Margherita pizza isn’t meant to be spicy so I finished my first bite and for the odd lingering stinging to go away before I began to investigate. I tried some of the sauce on its own and immediately realized that’s what was giving all the heat.
I then took a slice, took the toppings off, wiped and soaked up as much sauce as I could from both the toppings and crust, and put the toppings back on. The pizza looked horrible (I know I caused that). I ate some more and just gave up. I couldn’t enjoy this because, like I said, Margherita pizza isn’t meant to be spicy. I was looking forward to a savory meal and couldn’t enjoy this as one.
Lastly there is a possibility that the was maybe previously frozen. As the cook in our house 99.8% of the time, I’ve made plenty of homemade pizzas. Mostly with fresh dough, and occasionally with a frozen pizza crust which I have to thaw first. I also worked at a pizza chain as a teen and made dough fresh. The crust on my pizza tonight had the features of a previously frozen dough.
