The country gentlemen was a bit nostalgia for me. It’s the kind of restaurant. My father and my older brother tend to affiliate themselves with. I had chicken fried steak come to find out. They actually make their own instead of using frozen patties from Cisco or somewhere. The side salad as one of the side dishes was kind of plain looking, but their homemade dressing was pretty darn good. I don’t think the mashed potatoes were instant, but they did taste like instant mashed potatoes. All in all a nice little old restaurant that I’ll frequent again

We ordered Greek salad. It tasted just like in Greece. Very fresh. I had open face roast beef, baked potato and fried corn on the cob. It was way too much food so we had the leftovers for supper and as good as fresh. Spouse had shrimp po boy and onion rings. Also very fresh and good. We drank half and half tea and took a huge piece of blueberry cheesecake home. We will be back to try the rest of the menu. Everyone was so kind. We came close to closing but they didn’t seem to mind at all.

This restaurant came highly recommended. When I arrive for dinner, there was a notice on the door that they were understaffed and they were temporary closed. Unfortunately, I did not get to experience the food. I heard so much about. Next time I’m in the area, I hope they’re open.

THE BEST PLACE TO EAT!! No matter your taste, you will leave here satisfied!! I’ve been many times and never get the same thing and have never tried something bad! The staff is so kind and friendly! Mrs. Wendy is the best around! Truly couldn’t recommend more!!!

After being closed for three months, we were excited they were coming back. Went on second day after reopening. The meat on their gyro was freezer burnt, baked potato was the size of a golf ball and sour cream was expired by 2 months. It will be awhile before we go back. I thought they had to go through health inspection before returning.

Visiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast, looking for a place to eat, we found this gem in Gautier! It was almost closing time, and we were treated with such kindness! The food was so yummy! It was mostly American food, but also had a large Greek menu. We chose ‘down home cookin’,
but will be back to try other deliciousness being offered.

This place would have gotten 5 stars but for the fact the woman at the cash register was extremely rude and combative. Everyone at my table said their food was awesome and it did look awesome. Hubby loved the gyro. However my poboy was soggy/wet and unappealing. No reason for it to be soggy and the breading not sticking to the shrimp as I ordered it plain just shrimp and bread. Let them know and she acted like we were crazy. I was very nice when I was telling her. She had to go look at it then come back and tell me you can’t fry it in water and just wanted to argue. I just stared at her dumbfounded and then walked out. I wasn’t going to argue. We had a wonderful dinner wonderful waitress and like I said everyone else’s food looked amazing just the one woman’s attitude soured the whole experience. (She did remove it from our bill)

First time trying and was an unusual menu with southern and Greek food. But husband and I decided to try the chicken tenders with fried greentomatoes. Great portion size, sides were awesome, but cook over did the fingers and hushpuppies a little. Kasey, our waitress was great. She helped with explaining things, answering all our questions, and keeping us happy. Will try again.

I’ve never had a grilled chicken poboy before so, being that I am trying to watch my calories, decided to give it a try. Of course I added jalapenos for flavor. Then, in true “fatty” fashion, I got the onion rings because “I earned it with the lower calorie sandwich”.. And a Coke zero..
We’ll talk about my life choices later but for now, let’s focus on this place. The waitress was on point despite being prime lunch time. My sandwich and onion rings were great, and the price point is good too.

First time in for lunch while visiting Ocean Springs. Greeted at the front door by the kindest lady in her Sundays Best.
The fried pork chops & the gyro were both delicious!! If you’re getting soup, be advised…a bowl is HUGE!! Food came out fast & hot. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back when we’re in the area.
