Ordered the stuff French toast with a side of eggs. It was done fairly quickly, but I didn’t think anything of it when I opened it when I got home both the eggs and the bread were burnt.

Got a dozen Sufganiyot (donuts) for Hanukkah, six jelly filled, six Bavarian cream. They were they were incredibly dry, and half of them were missing filling. Will not be returning.

I bought an assortment of cookies. Most were dry and tasteless. Im pretty sure they were stale. Also, very expensive given the poor quality.

$16 Reuben special sandwich was poorly made. The corned beef was plentiful but I had to redistribute stale, small slices of rye bread could be bitten at same time. Russian dressing everywhere and coleslaw only on one side of sandwich. Not what is expected from a Jewish eatery at all. I miss the Jewish diner across the street. Lemon Danish was good, not great. Staff friendly.

Small pastrami sandwich served on stale and dry bread. The meat was heated upon request but it was barely above room temperature, I believe in a microwave oven behind the counter. Door was held open and dining area was well below 60 degrees. Kasha knish was tiny given it’s price. The dish set in front of me by staffer was not what I ordered, but was switched with my dining partner who ordered corned beef. No public restrooms in this facility.

We ordered a burger with fries and a shawarma for takeout. The shawarma was stone cold and tasteless. The laffa wrap was hard and stale. The shawarma meat, which is traditionally marinated lamb, veal or turkey was cold, sliced chicken schnitzel that tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for days. The burger wasn’t much better. It was overcooked and the meat was chewy and of poor quality. We will not be back.

Had a kosher hoagie with lemon seltzer. Delicious sandwich with turkey, salami, turkey pastrami, lettuce onion, and tomato on an onion roll. Dynamite food!
Fast service. Small deli with 2 tables.

I recently visited Lipkin Deli and wanted to share my experience. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, there was a wait of 25 minutes for two sandwiches. To my disappointment, the sandwiches were made from pre packaged corned beef rather than freshly made on-site.
Additionally, the corned beef was extremely salty and not the classic flavor profile I expected from a traditional corned beef on rye. Overall, while the service was pleasant, the food did not meet expectations.

Years ago we bought all of our rye bread, knotted rolls, snowflake rolls, from Lipkins in NE Philly. We were happy to learn that they didn’t close but relocated. It was an hour drive but we were happy to drive if it meant we got our quality breads back. Well, unfortuately the breads were awful. The rye bread was a bizarre texture and had an awful after taste. It was almost half baked but stale and crumbie. It seemed like it may have been frozen and thawed 4 days ago. Not good. The knotted, egg wash rolls were very, very dense, they weren’t horrible but they weren’t good either. The snow flake rolls were not sandwich rolls at all but dinner rolls/buns. Those rolls were inedible like the rye bread. They were literally raw dough. I had to run out to try and replace the bread for xmas eve and I couldn’t. I am beyond disappointed and won’t return.

Simple. Kosher. Delicious.
Lipkin’s reminds me of one of the small spots in Squirrel Hill.
Great selection of kosher meats. Sizable sandwiches and meat odds and ends like every flavor of knish.
