We LOVE Cafe 74! The food was delicious and hot. I had a BLT with sweet potato fries and my kiddo had a mushroom & Swiss with bacon and onion straws. We also took home some okra, fried pickles, onion straws and sweet potato fries. Well worth the drive if you’re not local.

The breakfast bowl we had one Sunday was delicious. However, this past Sunday, we ordered a chicken fried steak, and it was more like, “Where’s the beef?” I don’t think the waiter ever smiled. It was almost as if we were a burden for her to wait on. She had no personality other than a sad face. I understand she was a young girl. However, it would have been better for her to put our order in and then wait on the other tables that came in to get their drinks, especially when it takes an extremely long time to get your food. I really hate leaving a bad review because this is a local place to eat.

As a truck driver, we eat foods throughout the country and of different varieties… hands down, this has got to be one of the best chicken fried chicken dishes I’ve ever had.. super moist, fresh, hot and hand breaded… fried jalepenos were very good as well..couldn’t of asked for a better meal.. thank you Cafe 74 for a great homestyle cooked meal. Ate here for a few days while working in town. Let’s start with the food. The food tastes good, looks good, and is served in respectable portions while not hurting your wallet. As for the service, employees are kind, and constantly moving to attend to everyone, there are no complaints from me about the service or work ethic. The atmosphere is nice, just a bit small, so keeping your conversations to yourself is a bit of a pipe dream, but thats to be expected in a small town. All in all, I intend to stop in again next time I pass through, and I recommend y’all do the same.

I had to pick up some food to go for a crew working in the field, I had ordered 14 cheeseburgers with french fries. When I arrived, they were ready and were piping hot. Once to location, everybody was impressed with the food. Hamburgers were thick, tasted great and done perfectly. All the extras, including napkins included as should be. Very friendly people -Definitely recommend and I will use them again.

Ordered a burger and fries to go. The fries were burnt and tasted as though they had set in grease. The burger itself was mediocre. Certainly not a $10 meal. First time in this local diner and the last time. Good luck serving poor quality food.

The food was excellent! I had the grilled chicken wrap and onion strings as a side. The onion strings are homemade and delicious. The sweet potato fries were delicious as well. I strongly recommend stopping for lunch. They have large portions at a reasonable price.
