Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious, every dish packed with flavor and beautifully presented. We were a party of 8. The decoration over Christmas time is amazing having said that, the service is slow, the drinks were late, the food was meh… like my husband had a chicken sandwich that was not cooked well and when he told the waitress she said she will take care of it, the check came back she took 20% off the sandwich (who does that!!). This was our second time at the same location. First time was not better and it wasn’t during the holidays. I think we’re done with this place although, again, it’s very festive during Christmas.

My wife ordered the Burrata Salad with a side of grilled salmon, and I ordered the BBQ Ribs over baked beans, served with red slaw and pickled vegetables.
Our food was very good, the beer was cold and the service was good too. Sounds like a trifecta to me!

This was my first time at this restaurant. What a treat! I love halibut and it was prepared perfectly. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals: steak and fish&chips. Service was good. Drinks were well balanced. I’ll be back!

Always the best drinks, and atmosphere. Request Alana she was the best, told us the best food and drinks and we were not disappointed. The game room was also cute to get the kids to stay away from the table while everyone’s eating.

The setting is beautiful, the bathroom is really cool. We thought it would be a good place to meet friends for lunch since there is space for the kids to roam a bit and the little game section in the back. The beer was tasty but the food was horrible. It sounds like it would all be upscale and tasty based on the descriptions and price but all of us had gross food. the steak was smothered in this sauce that was gross— I have actually never had a worse steak. The fried food was all grossly undercooked. Huge disappointment, especially for the price. We’re actually embarrassed we suggested this spot to our friends.
If I lived in the area I might go back for a beer but I would never try the food here again.

We rented out the restaurant for our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Drinks event the night before our wedding and Batson River exceeded our expectations in every way. My wife and I have always liked the restaurant’s food and vibe, but the service was also top notch and we were blown away with how smoothly things went and how good the food was. They made a buffet style dinner for 120+ people without a hitch and the food was incredible. We chose a few signature drinks from their cocktail menu that were also a hit. They were extremely professional and easy to communicate with in the months leading up to the event. In general, the place has a very unique atmosphere and great food/drinks. My wife has remarked that she wants to “live at Batson River” many times since our event. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Fun, festive, holiday atmosphere.
Our server was kind but the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed. The hummus platter was very good but my $42 halibut entree was way overpriced for the tiny portion size.
Thankfully the holiday ambiance and good friends made the night an enjoyable one but the food could use some attention.

This was a wonderful place. We were in town visiting and they took us to Batson. We had a great light meal with a craft beer. We ended the evening sitting in front of the fireplace enjoying a fantastic cocktail. A special shout-out to Alana and Lily.
