I ordered 2 Freddy Fazbear meals so I was supposed to get the Freddy’s box and cup, well…..I only got 1 cup and I didn’t get a Freddy box…I’m not mad, just extremely disappointed. I spent money for the Freddie’s box’s and cups you said you had them, and you didn’t give me what I was told I would get, like I said not mad just disappointed. Food smells amazing tho the second one picture is what I was supposed to get

I got the tackle box today. I love lemon pepper so I got the lemon pepper shrimp. It’s so salty I had to wipe it all off and the shrimp are very small. I feel like they used to be bigger. You only get 8 shrimp so they should be decent sized. Tried the fried pickles they weren’t my favorite. The biscuit wasn’t good but the fries were on point. Overall I’ll probably eat there again at some point.

We ordered take out from here, took about 30 minutes to get the food even though we ordered on the app. The food was terrible cold chicken fingers tasted like bubble gum. Nasty fries. Mac and cheese good. Very poor unfriendly people not caring about customers. I would not recommend this location at all, it used to be very good, not now. My daughter did receive a partial refund from the App. People.

⭐ 1 star (and that feels generous)

I’ve been disappointed by Popeyes before – especially the Altoona location, but I truly did not think it could get worse until I visited this one. Congratulations, you proved me wrong.

Ordered two meals for $35, which had me genuinely wondering if the chicken was coated in gold flakes or blessed by a Louisiana priest. For fast food chicken, that price is absolutely unhinged.

Then came the wait. I sat at the drive-thru window for 20 minutes. Not cooking. Not rushing. Just watching employees stand around, vanish into the back, and reappear like this was some kind of workplace magic trick. Eventually I had to wave someone down just to cancel my order, because clearly my food had entered another dimension. Drove by the lobby and there were only 2 customers who some how got their food. We’ll see if I even get my refund, the guy at the window didn’t seem to know what he was doing.

The woman behind me gave up and left entirely, which honestly was the smartest decision made that day.

Fast food should not require this level of patience, persistence, or emotional resilience. Terrible service, absurd pricing, and an experience so bad it actually deserves to be studied. I won’t be back, and neither should you.

Ordered pickup Chicken and Coleslaw. Was told to wait. After waiting 30 minutes I went inside the store and asked how long it takes to cook the chicken. The guy behind the counter said 15 minutes. I asked why has 30 minutes gone by since he told me to wait in my car outside? He just stared at the floor and said the spicy chicken wasn’t ready. I told him I had to go, He said he could give me regular chicken and half of the Spicy. After arriving home we discovered the Chicken was in horrible condition. Since this Popeyes location opened they average about one out of every 10 orders in satisfactory condition. The owners obviously do not have a clue on how to run a franchised fast-food restaurant. If you want decent service and quality you’d be better to visit KuikStar or KFC in Ankeny.

Went here this past Wednesday with my oldest son to get a meal deal. After spending over $60 for the meal, it really wasn’t that great. No real spices to the batter around the chicken, which was just okay. The sides that we got were mac & cheese and that was ok a best. Second going here and I still don’t see what the fuss is all about. There are several chicken places in Ankeny that do chicken better and will not be going back here again.

Great customer service Everytime i come here. My ONLY issue is, and it’s a huge issue…… EVERY single time I go to this particular Popeyes, the employees NEVER have on gloves while touching customers cash/cards, and then touching the customers food. Even the ones prepping the food, never gave on gloves. That is SOOO unsanitary. They scratch their heads then touch the chicken with their hands putting it into the boxes. That’s a bad look

Lobby was closed during at 10:30 am (the hours posted on the door start at 10:30am) without any explanation as to why, and despite the store JUST opening we didn’t get our food until 30 minutes later. We got there around 10:28ish, and left after 11am. Our order was six wings, a wrap and lemonade.

This location has a SERIOUS issue with timeliness and professionalism thus an issue with quality of service. This has happened to me a few times when I was in store but the lobby being closed in the morning DURING LOBBY HOURS when there are little to no customers (a few people just straight up left after not being allowed to get in the lobby, while the lobby hours on the door laughed in their faces) and the fact that a small order took over 30 minutes to be made is unacceptable. The wait time wasn’t acknowledged by the workers either, nor did we get an explanation for the doors being locked. I’ve also gotten that same sort of indifference in store. AND!!!!! We didn’t even receive a receipt!!! Nor were we asked if we wanted one!! So how can we even report this if we have no proof that we even were at the restaurant????

I just expect to receive the service that I’m told I will receive, and expect the store to do what they say they’re going to do. Being inconvenienced at every step of the way to get fast food of all things is insane, especially because nearby competitors don’t do that. People don’t deserve that sort of treatment. The whole situation was ludicrous and I will be avoiding this Popeyes for the time being. The only saving grace is that the food is good, that’s it.

Not sure why so many people are leaving bad reviews. Both evening manager and staff were very nice, our order was ready quickly. Had such a nice experience. The food was fresh & delicious. Definitely some of the best fried chicken in town.

Took 30 minutes to get my 3 piece chicken tenders. I asked for my money back 20 minutes in and there was nobody that was authorized to do so. When I got my food chicken was hot but very bland. Mac and cheese was room temp and bland as well. The music choice was terrible, like elevator music only loud.
