This place is perfect. Literally, from the best pasty I’ve ever had (I got the roast beef one, but want to try venison next time), to the dining room that feels like you’ve time traveled back a few decades, to the fudge at the end of the meal– I loved our visit here so much. The owner, Penny is delightful. She has so much pride in her work, and it made the experience that much better. I highly recommend stopping here when you get on the peninsula.

We fell in love with pasties a few years back on a trip to the U.P. We stopped here to try their pasties.
I had high hopes but on first bite, the crust wasn’t that good, the potatoes used were frozen little squares, there was not a lot of meat and the flavor just wasn’t very good.

Honestly as a Texan girl who has never heard of a Pasty, it was actually pretty good. It definitely was giving Shepherds Pie vibes, but in hand held version. I heated mine in an air fryer as was recommended and it came out with a nice crispy crust. I love the flavor of the dough; however, the meat and potatoes did lack flavor. Again my personal opinion on the flavor, but honestly I would most definitely eat here again. Service was phenomenal and the ladies gave me a back story on the pasty and oh….Get the gravy! The flavor of the gravy did make up somewhat for lack of flavor, but still delicious. Thank You Ladies

Excellent experience as always. Best homemade Pasties and now this mouth watering Blueberry dessert. The crew goes above and beyond with service.

Good local food with local honey and jams available. Love the hot food with a small area of seating for a quick bite. People are friendly and carry out options.

I’m Finnish and love great Pasties, found this incredible place to eat them freshly cooked and get some to go. They use beef steak instead of hamburger and they have venison as well, but it might be the breakfast pasty that really puts them over the top along with their homemade gravy.

Fabulous place to visit! Young man was working alone. He was very chill. There were no less than fifteen people being served while we were there. He handled himself fabulously! He served everyone…didn’t get rattled…ask each person questions and wished us to drive safely home! Very impressed…as if you couldn’t tell! Oh, and the pasties were good too!

Very good pasties! Grew up eating them my whole life (Copper mining family from Copper Country). Grab dinner and go watch the sunset and the bridge light up.

My wife and I came to visit the U.P. From Texas. We were anxious to try the areas pasties during our 4 weeks of travel all through the U.P. We ate a lot of Pasties from different areas. We ordered our Pasties and sat down to eat them. We both looked at each other and said, these are the best we’ve had. They had taste which many we tried elsewhere lacked. The pastry was top notch and the meat was more than adequate.

At another shop nearby we ordered a pasty with gravy, the pasty and the gravy were both very bad, this was our first pastie on the U.P. My wife almost gave up on the pasties, I told her we couldn’t give up based on one. We both agreed no more gravy , it was that bad.
After telling the owner how happy we were with the pasties we told her about our prior gravy experience, she immediately suggested we try her gravy, my God it was delicious. I was so upset I didn’t get it for the pastie I just finished!
We talked of a bit and we bought another 10 to take home with us.

I love it when I visit a small business where the owners take such pride in their product. She was very patient in educating us in the world of pasties.

When we come back, it will be our only pastie stop! Now if we can all get together and talk them into shipping them!

Very cute location, servers were kind. This was my first experience with pasties and it was a huge let down. Got the traditional beef pasties and they were dry. I avoided eating the dough which was dry, thin, but also somehow doughy? Based on this experience I would never eat a pastie again. The fudge was very good however and the gift shop was cute!
