There weren’t very many options, so this place looked like a winner. It’s a pretty chill, relaxed vibe with good music. For me, the chips and salsa is a pretty good indicator on what the rest of the food will be like. With that being said, the chips and salsa were super delish!! The salsa had a really good taste and the chips were warm and crunchy. For my entrée, I got the Carne Asada. The steak was delicious! The beans and rice were good as well. Also, the beer was nice and cold! I’d totally geaux here again!!

Los Amigos is the ONLY Mexican restaurant I’ll eat at in Marksville LA, other than the fast food Taco Bell! They have always exceeded my expectations every time I have ate there! They offer dining in, to go, or even Drive Thru! When dining in, you can also chose whether to sit inside or even outside on the patio. Their food is always delicious, satisfying, sufficient, fresh & always warm/hot straight from being cooked! They offer a big variety of the favorite Mexican dishes, and for those that don’t like Mexican, the do offer a few selections of American food as well! Another thing I love is that if you are like me, you like the fast of food being cooked with onions and peppers, but you don’t actually want all of that in your food or on your plate! Well Los Amigos helps with that by giving the option of no vegetables (onions, bell peppers, other peppers, and tomato) or having the option of getting it on your food/ on your plate to the side. I’m so thankful they offer that because I can’t help that I’m kinda picky lol. But yeah, so that means there is food for absolutely ANYONE/EVERYONE! The wait time to get your food is never that long like a lot of other restaurants. The longest I have ever had to wait was 15 minutes maybe even 20 minutes when they were super busy (literally every dining table inside was filled, and even the outside tables as well!) so that’s a fair and great wait time compared to others. The restaurant environment is laid back so it’s easy to enjoy yourselves with family, friends, coworkers, Etc., whoever you bring with you! You will absolutely love the any of the food you choose, any of their deserts, their chips and salsa , queso, guacamole (if you on a regular basis like it, then you’ll love theirs because it’s the best, homemade, and always fresh!), Etc! I love Los Amigos’s Salsa and queso the best because out of any of the other Mexican restaurant because Los Amigos’s salsa has a great taste, and is always the same taste, plus it doesn’t have all the chunky tomatoes, onions, peppers,etc in it which is the same reason I don’t like Picante Sauce lol! I don’t like the chunky stuff, plus I’m just not a tomato, onion, or pepper fan. And for the queso it’s the same. It also is my favorite because it doesn’t have the chunks in it either! It’s just the amazing, smooth, greatest tasting melted queso cheese! So if I haven’t convinced you yet on how great this place is yet, then I don’t know what will, lol! But just go try it first yourself! You won’t regret it!!

Excellent food. Had a slight issue with waitress who brought us the wrong food and argued that is what we ordered until she finally realized she was at wrong table. Not a big deal, but don’t get an attitude with customers before trying to figure out your own issue.

Could not believe how good this place was. Friend ordered tacos Al pastor and said it was probably the best he has ever had. The red sauce that came with the Al pastor was great and pretty spicy. Service was awesome. Will come again if I ever return to marksville. Bathrooms were dim but clean.

I ordered a Burrito Roberto and it was pretty good. The steak was cooked perfectly and was NOT the chewy flank steak you often get. It came juicy and delicious. The atmosphere is great and the waitresses are very friendly. It was very busy, so there was a little longer wait, but that was to be expected.

It’s better than the other Mexican restaurant in town. Unfortunately, this place is border line ok. The Salsa is not good! That is unacceptable. The food is okay. I have only found 2 dishes that satisfy my pallet. So many little things would make this place better. More attentive staff with better communication skills and maybe a smaller menu. My main issue is that the amount of money the food costs doesn’t equal the quality of food. The melted plain queso is almost $9.00, almost as much as the one dish I like, huevos divorcio. The quesadilla brava however is worth the price. The menu price is just not consistent. For the owners, lite things count like the napkin holders, take out the generic cardboard that says replace me.

I haven’t been able to stop and eat since before all the covid restrictions for restaurants, but have still gotten to-go orders. All of the other Mexican restaurants need to step up their game to have delicious fresh food like Los Amigos does. This pic is from quite a while back that I previously posted here but it looks like Google has eliminated a lot of the older pictures. Fantastic place to eat! Fresh, flavorful food with great service every time I was there. I only wish they would expand to Alexandria.
