Great local bar and restaurant. Has great food, beer and fully stocked liquor shelves. Staff is friendly and easy to talk to.
There is lots of seating and it is not overly crowded.

We ordered the Tavern Steak Salad to go last night. The meat we got was not sliced grilled steak as shown in the online photo. What we got was more like shaved shawarma meat. The portion was maybe half of what shown in the photo. Wouldn’t recommend this establishment.

We enjoyed Woodward Tavern and would probably go again to try other menu items; food was kind of what you would expect. They had reasonable prices and good service. Atmosphere wasn’t our favorite because it was completely empty and dark when we went in, so we ate outside.

What a comfortable, laid back restaurant. Great menu with lots of different pub style items and a good local beer list. Milkshakes and tater tots were delicious! Pizza, burgers are average. The service was fantastic and our waitress was great! I would recommend and will definitely be back to try out more entrées.

I ordered a salad with grilled chicken for take out. Do NOT recommend. The chicken was beyond dry. Because the chicken was hot, the lettuce was warm and wilted. The shredded cheese was melted into a gooey mess, and the croutons were soggy. The restaurant was 2 minutes from my hotel, so it didn’t sit in the container for a long time.
The onion rings were meh. More batter than onion and they was chewy, not crunchy.

The meal at Woodward Tavern was mediocre, but we still had a good time and will definitely return to try other things on the menu. They provided good service at fair costs. We ate outside because we didn’t like the atmosphere because it was pitch-black and empty when we arrived.
