Extremely impressed with the food, service, and patience of staff. We went here today for a family birthday, I have twin boys that are 8 and a daughter that is 5….we had 10 total in our party and we are a bit of a handful. The staff was absolutely amazing, and the food was exceptional! We even had a few special requests that they were happy to accommodate us on. Two enthusiastic thumbs for this great restaurant!! If you haven’t given them a try chicken Parmesan, kids spaghetti with meatball, chicken Alfredo all delicious!! And the cheese cake was excellent!

Place us very popular so we had a bit of a wait. Staff is super friendly. Meal included garlic bread knots that were freshly baked and a choice of soup or salad. The pasta entrees were HUGE and we took half home for leftovers. Desserts were also very good. We had the chicken/shrimp milanese and baked tortellini in Alfredo sauce.

Excellent Italian restaurant in Ames! The Pasta Combo was amazing. Large portions and delicious. The New York Cheesecake and the Chocolate Lovers Spoon Cake were fabulous! I tried to get a picture of the cheesecake, but my son ate it too fast!

Excellent first visit to Pasta AL Forno! Mildly busy on a Weds night.
Everyone was very friendly, and the food was very good, especially the Italian Sauage side dish, along with the Lasanga, too. The side salad was okay.
Also, the ambiance was very enjoyable, the music fit the movie playing on the TV, I believe it was Fred Astair in Paris in the 1950s.

Lovely place. Generous portions. Amazing food. I had the Chicken and Shrimp Milanese. And Bruschetta as an appetizer. Our server did a great job getting our food to us and checking on us! I also had the tiramisu to go!

We have been to Pasta Al Forno many times now and are really enjoying having this great Italian restaurant in Ames. We have enjoyed the Linguine White Clam Sauce (my husband’s favorite), Shrimp Scampi linguine (my favorite), lasagna, bruschetta, Sausage Arrabiatta, Lobster Ravioli and many more dishes. They were all wonderful. The salad, soup and rolls are delicious as well. The staff has always been wonderful with a few still learning how to serve. The atmosphere isn’t great, but it is still a great experience.
