The best sushi I’ve ever had! Don’t skip the fatty toro and the scallop nigiri! The service was fantastic. We talked about this sushi for days afterwards. Highly recommended!

Fantastic sushi, tempura, and even delicious vegan options (salad, avocado sushi, etc). Great service, and like others mention the giddy owner clearly enjoys making high quality nigiri for locals and tourists alike. The maki sushi was just okay but not enough to knock any points/stars off.

We came here as I saw in other reviews that they have veggie options. The staff were so lovely & squeezed us in even though they were basically full. The food was delicious. Definitely a great choice for any vegetarians travelling with non-vegetarians. Thank you! 🙂

Really cute spot with warm service and great food. Sushi was really tasty, service was excellent with the chef telling us he used to be a pro at bowling! Great atmosphere.
Recommend coming early or making bookings. We got turned away the first night as they were full but came early on the second night and got a seat, and saw others getting turned away. Atmosphere was mixed kind of touristy but also seemed to have local customers too.

Having been to Japan over 35 times and being half-Japanese, this is one of my most memorable dining experiences in the country. The girl waitresses are all very warm and friendly. But the highlight is the adorable sushi chef who at 80 years old makes all his sushi with so much love. He is so precious! The food is also very good 🙂 a must visit in Matsumoto.

Tbh not the most cheapest option, but friendly bowling 80 uncle stand behind the counter making your sushi! Won’t said the best sushi or it blows your mind, but really decent food and homey feels.
The fried stuff actually are very good, the Maitake, also the squid is fried in a light batter which was yums.

Extremely pleasant experience!
Food was great. The host speaks perfect English and is extremely nice. The chef is just the best.
They also accommodated my celiac disease very well. Do mention cross contamination separately though. They have gluten free soy sauce as well.
