Checked out Sipp & Eat Tavern tonight with a friend.
I gotta say, there hasn’t been a chill place like this in Union since the first coffee shop (Lil Ricki’s ) closed. They have tight security after 9PM, which is kind of strange to our little hometown, but at the same time, respectable and should be 100% expected & respected. You should be greeted 5-7 feet before the front door, have your ID in hand. If you exit the door, and return to your vehicle afterwards, expect the same treatment upon re-entry. Don’t say things like “I’ve been here for hours man” and think you got it like that. Trust me, you dont. Don’t flatter yourself. I will reiterate AGAIN, I can only review for after 9PM on my very first visit; this may not be a thing during the day, nor to the people they are familiar with. I love that they care enough about me (their patron) to ensure my safety, I am the exact opposite of offended. That procedure simply assures me that stranger Joe next to me, couldn’t bring his 380 in either. If I have a problem with Joe, we will just have to talk about it later.
Now, on to the good stuff… yep, you know…I LOVES FOOD and while my friend didn’t order a thing (I think only due to the short order menu), I definitely got a plate!

Do you see that burger? I’m old with an android phone so please don’t rely on my photos, rely on my words. I ordered to go one of the most perfect “back yard BBQ” type homestyle burgers to ever hit Union. Perfectly cooked, flavorful and juicy! All I requested was cheese, lil mayo, lettuce, and onion. BELIEVE me when I say, the environment might be adult+ after dark, but the food is obviously on point no matter what time of day or night. I had an odd request for sides… I wanted celery w/ ranch and some fries. They didn’t mind and it was DELICIOUS!!!
While I was waiting for my food, I got a round of pool in with my friend. I play APA two nights a week and I’m on an in-house league team one night a week. The tables are similar in brand and condition to other tables in nearby establishments; very nice tables and the one I played on was superb.
Unfortunately, I can not review the bar/drinks this time. But I’m sure I’ll be back and will update on that ASAP.
Over all, they get 18/20 stars from me which still equates to a 5 Star review overall.
Y’all go support these guys.
Let’s keep something decent, fun and safe in this town for once.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to eat last night around 10 that was still open since everywhere in Union closes so early and we found this place. We didn’t realize it turned it was more of a bar than a restaurant (probably because it was later in the evening, our bad!) so we took our food togo since we had our little one with us. But the owner was super nice about it .and the food was great! My husband got the Bacon Cheeseburger and I got the Chicken Philly. It was the best sandwhich I’ve had from anywhere in a long time and was husband really enjoyed his food as well. We will be back!

Food is always delicious, it can be a little slow at coming to the table but it’s worth it. Jermaine and everyone else are very welcoming. Give them a try, they even have pool tables and other games

The philly was actually seasoned…. Amazing for union lol! My food service however was disrespectful. My food came out 20 mins after my friends and it was cold in a to go box while his was on a plate. The drinks are all in the short plastic cups no matter the order, and alcohol selection was limited. I’m guessing my food came out cold, because one of the servers kept making eyes at the person that I showed up with, possibly because everyone else got all their food on a plate, while I got mines lukewarm, and then it to go box. I won’t say that this place is awful, but they definitely cater to an older crowd and if you like a segregated atmosphere from wings this is a really good stop.

Super salty. Not the right amount we ordered, waited over an hour for food and had to watch alot of other people order than they got theirs before we did. Music way to loud couldn’t hear what anyone was saying right next to me. Asked for a refund and was told oh its being bagged now and still had to way 20 mins. Don’t waste you time or money!

Holsom,the place is kept like most keep there living clean and organized,the service you can tell they enjoy making sure you have a great experience and you’ll know why once your order arrives the service and the food compliment each other, I had the lemon garlic chicken and the fried flounder I was very impressed with both not only was it picture perfect it was seasoned just right so I don’t have a picture I started eating and when I thought about a picture it was not looking picture perfect anymore,it is one of those hidden gems go try it reasonably priced also
