We stumbled into La Mixteca and had such an enjoyable lunch! The staff was super helpful explaining their menu and offering to help my husband and I split a few options we couldn’t decide between.
The tortilla chips & salsa were so fresh and flavorful. Queso was also delish and not too runny or thick.
For lunch we had the chicken empanadas and the quesabirra tacos and both had so much fresh flavor but the empanadas were to die for. Don’t skip the hot sauces made from scratch. We loved them both.
I have to also mention the rice and beans were most definitely the best I’ve ever had.
Honestly, there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like from our experience!

Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, the salsa had just the right kick, and the portions were generous. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. You can really tell this place takes pride in both their food and their customers. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine! ️

I had a great time at this restaurant, and enjoyed the shrimp and rice meal. One thing that is different that I didn’t not like is the water comes in bottles instead of cups and you have to pay extra for it. The queso is very large as well. It’s a small, homely restaurant. Fair prices and friendly staff.

Loved it! The food as the name suggests from the Mixteca region of Mexico. The food was hot, fresh and authentic. The customer service was amazing and felt super welcomed. So was the overall ambience which was colorful and family friendly. Will definitely dine again soon!

We came for a lunch/dinner so we expected some traffic but arrived to a very quite establishment. Service at the beginning was fast to get our drinks, but hesitant on our food order. We ordered a couple shots when they arrived to take our order. 20 mins later our food arrived steamy and was quite delicious. We generally order at least 6 items to try when stop by new places.
Parking is limited but within walking distance if not out front or on the side.
We always try new places so it really takes alot to bring us back for 2nds. If we are in town though, I see us swinging thru again. Thank you

Me and my family loves this place! Everything is always great the food the workers the owner, always there with a smile on their faces and when u walk in the smell is jus amazing or jus driving past. Then what I like is when you call in a order and you walk into the restaurant and they recognize your face and name to me that is great customer service all out great restaurant great food and great people

This place was amazing!! I ordered Carne Asada tacos (American style). My boyfriend ordered Carne Asade tacos (onion and cilantro). We also ordered one chicken empanada to try. The rice and beans were some of the best we have had. It was all so fresh and of quality! We would definitely return and recommend to anyone in the area!!
