I have been eyeing this place for a quite a while and finally tried it. The atmosphere is pleasant, they have a good wine list and the service is good. The menu is a bit limited but that is fine too. We got the caprese to start and it was good as well as the fresh bread. I had the Chilean sea bass which was decent with a pan sauce that was excellent. My wife got the filet and it was a large cut but just a tad overdone. The disappointment are the sides. You had a choice of sautéd spinach and roasted potatoes or you could just have double potatoes. Neither of us like cooked spinach but did not want to have a ton of potatoes either so we tried the spinach. It was ok for me but my wife didn’t touch it. The potatoes were good but you literally got *3* little mini potatoes! I am can get behind cost control or portion size but that is a bit ridiculous. No other subs were available either. I have to ask the question, why no side pasta? Anyway, I liked the place and most of the food and had a good bottle of wine but for $52 for a filet you kind of expect a little more.

I wish I would have taken more pictures of the food, it was all amazing! You can taste how fresh through pasta is, perfectly al Dante. They have a small menu with chef specials so you know it has to be great, and it is so good. The restaurant is small and so intimate. Make sure to make reservations well in advance.

Trattoria Giorgio was hands-down the BEST meal we had in Greenville. If you’re visiting, I could not recommend it more highly !! It is fantastic. You do need to call in advanced and make a reservation because they do book up. The clam special was literal PERFECTION. I have been dreaming about its tomato base sauce since we ate it. I literally wanted to lick the plate *lol*. The ribeye was full-flavor, I have no notes on it whatsoever… The bolognese is something special; made fresh in house and you can tell. Our server was so warm and curated our meal with care. The ambiance is intimate, relaxing, and charming. I would go back in a heartbeat.

A lot of restaurant on Main Street felt touristy and overpriced BUT Trattoria Giorgio is the exception– a fair value and much better food than the other spots we tried.

All 3 dishes our table ordered were excellent. The shrimp in the Linguini Verde Mari was cooked to perfection and the pesto was flavorful and yet light. The Pappardelle Bolognese excellent. And the Ravioli Di Spinachi e Noci had the best filling I’ve ever tasted (spinach, ricotta, and walnut). The service and atmosphere were spot on as well. Our server made a great wine suggestion, the exposed brick on the walls, and the relaxed pace of the meal all made for an excellent evening. We will be back very soon.

My daughter and I took a risk on eating here without a reservation, and the sever was kind and seated us outside. We were thrilled! The food was fresh and delicious. The pasta tasted homemade. I recommend the Bolognese and Lobster Ravioli. Our server was fantastic! We will definitely eat here again.

Authentic flavors, simple but stylish interior, and great views of the main strip.

We liked to come here several times a year for special occasions (and we really used to enjoy Giorgio’s) however the wait staff has devolved and now barks at you upon entry with a harsh, ‘Reservations?’ There is no maître d’ and I’ve seen Giorgio (maybe) once over the years; I think he is shy or maybe does know not know what is going on up front or maybe does not care. It’s a weird setup and we just quit patronizing Giorgio.

You would think instead of the harsh and unfriendly one word greeting, ‘Reservations?’, the wait staff might say, ‘Good Evening’ or perhaps say, ‘Welcome Back’ since we are repeat customers. (p.s. Giorgio, regular repetitive business is very profitable.)

We patronize another Italian restaurant further up Main St (at Coffee St) and Bocca (out on Poinsett Hwy) where we get personalized service.

We enjoyed a great dinner here on Tuesday evening. While the food was good, the service was even better. Our server was pleasant and helpful with menu suggestions, attentive without hovering, and just right in her service. The atmosphere was just right. A small space, not crowded, with a nice ambiance that matched the vibe of the restaurant. We’ll be back.

It was fine. Nothing special at all. Very limited menu. The fish of the day was clearly frozen, not fresh. I think they do this dish every day and call it a special. The menu is basic and not creative at all. Very old school but not in a good way. With all the restaurants in downtown Greenville that are 5+ stars, this place needs to adapt.
