Was looking for lunch and stopped by the tea room. I ordered the Luncheon Tea with a cup of soup. Everything was delicious! The scone was warm and the soup was hot. I chose the chocolate & mint tea which was delightful. It tasted like a thin mint cookie! Kirstie was very kind and attentive.
Wonderful location for tea with friends, or even coming solo and enjoying tea while reading a good book.
The tea room is connected with the antique store next door, which I look forward to visiting next time.

Been a long week and i needed something to lift my spirits. I was in town for something and came upon this place in a “tea” search on Google maps. Thank goodness!!! I’ve always wanted to experience an afternoon English tea and Blue Willow was everything for me. Kirstie, the host, made it so meaningful and memorable. She explained everything and recommended a tea. She checked on me as needed but also gave me time to experience this in my own way. The atmosphere as comforting, between all the tea set displays, antique furniture, and the music. English Rose Tea is just lovely. The scones, with the cream and jam – divine. Sandwiches were nice and fresh. I felt so fancy, yet so comfortable; which is not the norm for me. Thank you, Blue Willow and Kirstie for such a memorable experience. AND, I purchased the tea along with a cup and saucer set from their antique store next door, to remember this time.

Lovely experience for my birthday! I’m from Ireland and we’re very serious about a good afternoon tea. Blue Willow did not disappoint. Their pricing was very reasonable and they had a good selection of interesting and classic teas to choose from. Had loads of pastries, sandwiches and goodies to select from. Too full to finish and we got boxes to take the goods home. Waitress was very attentive and came to fill our pots of tea regularly. Decor and china was beautiful. Would definitely come again!

This was a nice, quaint little shop. The tea options were very good. I didn’t care much for the sandwiches but that is just personal preference. The waitress there was more than willing to work something out to accommodate my tastes. My companion enjoyed the sandwiches, so I believe they were good.
I didn’t realize that the desserts change. The day we went was death by chocolate. There was fruit, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cake, and chocolate cheesecake. It was all fine. I’m not a huge fan of chocolate stuff so my experience could have been better overall. I don’t blame the shop for my personal tastes.
I recommend that anyone going asks ahead of time what desserts, soups, and sandwiches are being offered so that you can make sure you’ll like what they’re serving. I’d never been there, so I didn’t know that the menu changed from day to day. Now, I know. I’ll definitely try it again, keeping these things in mind.

Wonderful experience at this pearl in old town Petersburg. Went out with my best friend for our weekly ‘lunch and talk’. We like to explore places that are pleasant to the soul as well as the palate. The tea sandwich sampler was a delight but it was the dutch chocolate mousse cake that truly made me believe I was in heaven (yes it was that good!!!). This old townhouse functions both as a tea house and as an antiques store with several rooms to browse through on the bottom and the top floors with all kinds of treasures. Will definitely be back!!!!

I absolutely love this quaint tea shop in Downtown Petersburg. I’ve had two events here and both were amazing! I love that there’s so many options for the different Teas you can try and the finger foods are all tasty and well made! The staff are easy going, and lots of fun to chat with while they serve you. Dress up or go casual, either way you will fit in just fine. Parking spaces on the street can be tough to find, but enjoying Afternoon Tea amongst an eclectic sworray of tea sets, lace and antique decor is worth the hassle. I plan on returning again and again. Anyone that decides to visit Blue Willow Tea Room is in for a marvelous treat!

ZERO STARS — Absolutely unacceptable experience!
On September 24th, I spoke directly with the owner regarding hosting a tea party at this location. During that call, I asked very clearly what was required to secure the date. The owner stated that all we needed to do was make payment two weeks before the event and we would be confirmed. He also mentioned that he already had a table of ten reserved, but assured me that the remaining 26 seats would be available for us.
Following his exact instructions, I reached out two weeks prior to our event to complete payment. Only then did the owner tell me that the venue was already full — and that he never entered our reservation into the book.
We had 26 paying guests, including regional coordinators, who were planning to attend. His response was simply that there was nothing he could do. No apology. No attempt to resolve the issue. No ownership of his mistake.
This experience was blatantly unprofessional, rude, and completely avoidable had the owner followed through on his own commitment.
We will never patronize this establishment again, and we strongly advise others to think twice before relying on this business for any planned event or reservation.

My bestie and I had tea for two. That included two different pots of tea, soup, tea sandwiches, scones, pastries, and petit fors. The owner was very nice. The service was great. I will definitely visit again.

My sister and I decided to come here for a little sister date this afternoon and we LOVED it! The atmosphere is super cute; a mix of antiques and vintage charm. I did call ahead and make reservations; though they aren’t required. Everything was nicely spread out and the server wore her mask the whole time. The tea selection was great and the server had great recommendations on what to order for 2 people to split. We had the full afternoon tea and it was amazing! The strawberry chocolate tea was delicious and the assorted sandwiches, pastries and fruit paired very nicely. They also have other options if you’re feeling wine and cheese or lighter food. We will definitely back!
