Very surprised with the NY style pizza. My son is the pizza eater in the family and tends to buy frozen (yuk) but after trying Murphy’s pizza he will stop that and I too will order this pizza again.The young man that took my payment and handed me my order was so friendly …which is always a plus when an establishment is busy – he kept his cool. Ordered 2 large pizzas, one garlic chicken and one 5 meat, the garlic chicken was plain as day. No flavor to it at all. Could barley taste the garlic. Spent $36 on these two.

This place doesn’t take their time to make a good pizza when they’re busy so watch out on Tuesdays. My stuffed pizza was minimally stuffed had hardly any sauce and absolutely nothing on the top layer for toppings. Just a sad amount of cheese and sauce. The murphs on the south end of town does a way better job. Photos of what my pizza is supposed to look like and how it came.

I will start by noting that I was a manager for Papa Murphys many years ago and I know the service standards for the company. Starting with the positives: the cashier Nolan was very friendly and welcoming and the pizza makers did a good job of spreading the toppings out. However that is where the good ends. The store was horrendously filthy. There were giant stacks of dirty dishes close to the pizza making area, the line was loaded with food from the entire day (I know what the build up of each hour looks like when making pizzas) it was in fact a full days worth of food. The trash cans were overflowing and nobody thought to change the bags. There were tickets all over the ground and it looks like it had not been mopped all week. The topping bins had all the measuring cups and the bowl and scale for topping cheese were all out and accessible but not a single time used. The pizza makers were only guessing at how much to put on by using their hands to scoop toppings. The whole time the pizza makers were making the pizza they were talking with each other and not guests. Also the pickup racks for online and call-in orders were blocking the view of the line so that is was tough for me as a customer to watch them make the pizza or interact with the staff, this does not create a welcoming environment. If this store has a manager it does not show, the team obviously lacked leadership and training on the service standards of Papa Murphy’s.
