Was recommended the Kalbi short ribs special and it was perfect. Loved how well marinated the ribs were the bed of cabbage added a nice crunch. Loved how the mac salad wasn’t overly dressed in mayo but still creamy. The Hawaiian strawberry guava juice is definitely recommended

We walked up and asked how they were doing and the guy just stared back at him. Okay. We’ll order. Ordered a beef dish with rice and Mac salad. The rice is rice. Mac salad was okay. The beef was unfortunately inedible. Someone mixed up the tsp and Tbs measurements for the salt in the sauce. Just incredibly over salted. This is strike two for them. Such an expensive mistake.

Recently had lunch at Aloha pdx food cart in Troutdale, very mediocre at best in my opinion. I ordered the ‘Ono Chicken ” (*Ono means delicious in Hawaiian) sadly, this was not. The chicken was like left over “Chicken Katsu” (*deep fried, panko coated chicken cutlets), but it was dry, overcooked and bland, the sauce on the side was thick and overly sweet, not tasty. It came with Mac Salad, and Rice, the Mac Salad was Orange??!! and not very tasty, and although dry, the rice with a small sprinkling of Futikake was probably the highlight of this meal.
Maybe they were having a bad day, but this is the second time I’ve tried them, and they were equally bad. Two stars is being generous.

I was pretty excited for Hawaiian food but my $15 accounted for small portions of meat and a massive swimming pool of wet cabbage and benign flavors- disappointed from this particular place. .
shop elsewhere plenty of other carts to choose from in this food court.

Needed more flavor/salt. Poke was good, mac wasn’t creamy so it wasn’t my style. I didn’t like sweat sauce on the pork.

Wanted a local and easy stop on the way back from Multnomah Falls. Thought we’d try these food carts in Troutdale. Seems a lovely setup in all; Nice coveted and airy seating with good music. Wanted to try something different, so Hawaiian it was. Job well done my friend and I thought! I tried the (8) Kalua pork w/cabbage plate, and he the (special) huli huli chicken. Meats perfectly cooked and sauces oh so good. Good rice. Cabbage was a good texture. Saw another review saying how the mac was just right, creamy, not too saucy, and that’s spot on. Those Hawaiian drinks are great — we both had pineapple and orange. Nice service and was cooked fresh and quick. Thank you.

Visted this cart with my children yesterday, I ordered the garlic Shrimp. It was so fresh and delicious, staff was friendly as well. We will definitely be back for that plate very soon.

My first time here was a couple of days ago and they seem to have turned it around from the reviews a few months ago. The BBQ chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the only reason they’re getting four stars is that the macaroni salad was lacking flavor. Give them a try!

Be aware that if you order extra meat, they take out rice from your platter.
Otherwise, pretty okay Hawaiian food, I’ve been here a few times, only gripes are:
1. Mac Salad is pretty average and on the bland side
2. You actually get more rice if you just order 1 meat. If you add on anything extra, they actually subtract the rice, which makes no sense.
Ex) You usually get another scoop of rice in one of the small holes, but if you order something extra, they take it out instead of putting the extra items on top.

The kalua pork and garlic shrimp were delicious! The portions are huge which makes the price really reasonable.
