Can’t wait to visit Ithaca again, mainly to come here! We stopped in two mornings in a row, the first for special breakfast pizza and the second for the breakfast skillet/brunch wrap. Everything was delicious and we got to try a variety of pastries. I dream about the pistachio croissant! Something silly to appreciate, but worth mentioning – I loved the separate recycling and composting bins with clearly labeled signs; so many people do not know what is compostable. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, we will be back soon!

Ambience: Having changed from their previous location, it’s more of a takeout place than a diner now. There are a few seats with a wall attached table available but not a designed seating space, with an open vibe with natural light. The staff is super friendly and helpful with their suggestions.

Food: They have reduced their menu size to serving very particular dishes like their classics and tacos along with coffee and donuts. All their donuts are vegan and handmade. They have introduced new donut flavours like a raspberry filled one, and an apple jam donut along with chocolate croissant, cheese and pepperoni croissant, butter croissant and cinnamon roll.

Recommendations: If you are a coffee person, their Expresso Donut is a greatly balanced donut with a balance of coffee’s bitterness and sweetness of the glaze. The donut being handmade has a nice dark and crispy texture. If you are a fruit lover with a sweet tooth, their raspberry filled original glaze donut has a little tart raspberry filling but is well balanced with the sweet sugar glaze.

Super trendy cool place! I hate they were out of the very thing I was hoping to get, the beet Burger. But the tofu scramble breakfast burrito was great. I got a walnut sticky bun dessert as well that was good and a mocha latte that was delicious, on the small side but delicious… They’re really conscientious too with biodegradable utensils, containers and what not. Staff were really nice as well. If I lived near there I would probably try most things on the menu if not everything at some point and frequent the place for sure!

We were stoked to find an all-vegan spot in Ithica, and the donuts did not disappoint!! The breakfast crunch wrap was amazing, as was the breakfast sandwich (can’t remember what the exact name of the sandwich was, but it had a biscuit bun, “egg,” hash brown, “bacon,” and a sauce. The apple fritter was good, and we tried the following donuts: strawberry sprinkle, chocolate glaze, and cinnasugar — all amazing! The pumpkin spice latte was also really good!!

Having been in Ithaca for a year I’m surprised I’d never heard of this vegan joint at all!
This was One of the few Vegan places I’ve had here in the US that actually has decently tasting vegan food. We had the breakfast burrito and a couple of smoothies alongside some vegan version of steak.

They were kind enough to be open about how they shared the same grill with all dishes. So, if you have any allergies, please approach them and mention it to them in advance!

The taste was great, decently priced and loved the vibe!
Would definitely visit again if I come back to Ithaca!

This food is phenomenal. I’ve been in Ithaca for 20 years and this is the best food there is. Super flavorful, easy to digest, very filling and I am always excited to go back again. Everything is delicious and my favorites are the brunch wrap, the Philly cheesesteak, and the donuts. Donuts are out of this world. I also love their homemade cashew cheese sauce.

Also staff are very warm and friendly. Highly recommend!

My family and I drove two hours to try the food here because my daughter wanted to go for her 16th birthday. We were not disappointed. We got a ton a food as we always do so we can try a little of everything and it was all delicious. We also had the pleasure of speaking with Theresa and she was amazing! Always nice to have friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. Thanks again Theresa for your hospitality.

We had to drive through Ithaca that day and found the diner days ahead.
So we stopped in of course because we can eat the whole menu at a diner 🙂
We ordered a lot and we enjoyed every bite of it.
The only downside was we wish we could have eaten more if our bellies weren’t full already.

The staff was very friendly too.

I would recommend to take a milk shake for sure!!!! And a donut too!!!

I love Angelhearts. They are one of the few vegan places in Ithaca, and over the years they have added even more to their menu. My favorites are their breakfast burrito, the beet burger, and all of their desserts and coffees. Their soft serve ice cream in their homemade cones and as chipwiches are absolutely amazing. Cute modernized classic diner interior and super kind staff. Whenever I visit Ithaca, I go back!

Ithaca went through some lean years for vegans after ABC Cafe closed, but Angelhearts Diner has set everything right in the world once again, while raising the bar for quality vegan meals to unprecedented levels. The restaurant itself is simply beautiful. It’s super clean with a classic 1950s-style decor, and everything is brand new since they just opened in late 2019. The food is off the charts, and I’d go so far to say that their breakfast offerings outdo anything served in Manhattan. I had the breakfast burrito and a couple biscuits with jam, with a bottomless cup of excellent coffee. Man oh man! Everything was so delicious and the sausage in the breakfast burrito and on the full plate was about the most delicious vegan meat I’ve ever eaten. My non-vegetarian dining companion was equally impressed by the food.

I was only in town for a day so I made sure to come back for lunch and their house-made veggieburger was one of the best I’ve ever had. Kim, the lady who opened the place with her son, has an incredible work ethic and really puts her soul into this place. I’ve eaten at vegan restaurants in almost every state and more than 20 countries, and Angelhearts was one of the best and most memorable dining experiences of my life. If I lived in Ithaca I’d eat breakfast here several times a week.
