The food was excellent. It was well cooked, served hot and the serving sizes were generous. They had a vast selection of food choices. I ended up with a dinner + a 4 veggie plate because everything looked so appealing – making it difficult to decide on the 2 sides included on the dinner plate. I also love the patience and regard they show to their elder customers. Great customer service overall. I am making myself hungry again. The restaurant is 15+ miles from my home nut it’s worth the travel!

My first time here, I had smothered chicken and cabbage n spaghetti. My sides were good n hot. My meat wasn’t too fresh, was cold a bit. Tough in some places. Seemed like the fries chicken was just reheated and had gravy thrown on top. Chicken was dry as well, even though it was smothered. But the employees were nice n helpful…only thing I didn’t like was the meat but it was ok overall.

This place is really a hidden gem. I wanted Turkey today and was pleasantly surprised to find Turkey wings. Big and Baked to perfection. I paired with it some spaghetti and pinto beans. I love a good bean and boy did you all get it right. Nothing too salty or over cooked. Tastes just as good as it did when I was introduced in over a decade. One plate big enough to feed two. No extra fluff just good ole soul food!

I just left there.. I was told this place was good.. BUT That older skinny guy that switched places with a guy naned Marvin was very rude.. Everyone else was friendly. They need to hire someone else in that older skinny guy place seeing he doesn’t have customer service skills at all! Food was actually good, even though they ran out of alot of food but food was good. But the rude behavior of that guy just ruined my experience. Actually the rude guy picked a toothpick out of the greens where the young sweet girl was standing. I hope that toothpick didn’t fall out of noone mouth. But he need to be coached on his demeanor, if he cant handle the crowd because it was alot of people in there than he need to find somewhere else to work. Thank you Marvin and the rest of the workers for the kind personalities

First time coming there December 17th 2025 chops and green beans and mashed potatoes the pork chops had to been cooked at least 24 to 48 hours prior cut into the pork chop and they was dried out and looked Brown in the inside I would never go back again

The food was hot and fresh as always! I loved the baked chicken, green beans (my son’s favorite), and yams (my dad’s favorite). I have also tried the pork chops, fried chicken wings, fried catfish, beef short ribs, salad, and the turkey wings. They never disappoint. The staff is also very friendly and always smiling and greet me at the counter. I love this place. I will be going back again for the one millionth time! LOL! I just love this place for real.
